Extraordinary motion denied but I don't think this shuts down the available appeals completely

He should be impeached (he won't be) and charged criminally for these actions. At a minimum, he could be convicted of contempt of court but there are other laws he violated as well. Alas, it won't happen. Hopefully the federal court does the right thing. It's the 6th Circuit, though.

What is “proof of citizenship?”
It's a blatantly illegal requirement and here's hoping the courts strike it down immediately. It's illegal on many different axes, actually. It's racially discriminatory in application, but even more obviously it discriminates on the basis of national origin, which has long been established as illegal on its face.

I mean what document is proof of citizenship? Does LaRose expect everybody to bring their birth certificate, passport, or naturalization papers to the polls with them? And of those, only a passport is a “photo ID.”

Yes, they are expecting naturalization papers. I just went back and read the opinion from 2006 that originally enjoined the practice. They want naturalized citizens to produce naturalization papers. The court called the law "shameful."
