He embodies the worst of themselves and celebrates those aspects thereby making them feel better and more empowered. He subconsciously tells them "you don't need to be ashamed. Being incredibly flawed is a selling point, not a negative"
So what does this say about Christianity?

So according to the unredactions, Epstein's executors were a couple of guys named Indyke and Kahn. They, along with the estate, settled a civil sex-trafficking case in the Virgin Islands for $105M.

In 2022, Indyke was hired by . . . the Parlatore Law Group. The same Parlatore who represented Trump, and now represents Hegseth, and is somehow involved in the administration. Again, he was hired AFTER he settled a civil suit that Parlatore surely knew about.

This whole deal of electronic production of documents and issues related to reversing redactions was pretty much ironed out about 20 years ago. That Trump's DoJ doesn't know how to do this speaks volumes about how experienced they are on the nuts and bolts of discovery.

Exactly. Woe be the inexperienced paralegal in 2003 who didn't know how to operate redactions on the software correctly.

But it is 2025. This is absolutely basic shit. The idea that the US Justice Department doesn't know how to use redaction software in this day and age is mind boggling. It is criminal malpractice.

And yet . . . I told my wife a week ago that they would botch the redactions. Because of course they did.

I figured they would botch the redactions by failing to redact stuff that needed to be redacted (like names of victims), or redacting some language and failing to redact the same language in another spot. Given the quantity of data and the time crunch, this was a reasonable guess -- especially given the prior redaction goofs about victim names.

But I honestly thought main justice had career staff who understood how to use redaction software. Even if you are just using Adobe Acrobat, it is not that challenging to do it properly (and I'd hope Justice would have real ESI production software).

I can only imagine that some lower-level justice attorneys decided to handle the task themselves, and screwed up because they wouldn't let their secretaries handle it.

Everyone competent left. DOJ is hollowed out.

The problem is they aren’t using career people. This is a small group of people that the administration trusts for reasons other than their competence.
