If there is nothing in the Epstein files that incriminates Trump, then why has Trump not ordered his DOJ to release all of these files post haste ?

The drip drip drip is only hurting Trump and the craven GQP. We know that Trump only cares about himself so why is he tolerating taking this hit unless there is something in the files that is even worse than this current political disaster ?

There is a possibility I suppose that he is doing it just to show who is in charge.Just for his ego?

That's possible, but with his approval rating hovering around 40% and trending lower, I would think that is a significant blow to his ego.

If the files do not incriminate him, then that would be a major story and his approval rating would get a significant boost and get him back to his historical 45% baseline.

Trump is a poor pathetic soul desperate to be loved. I'm pretty sure he follows his approval ratings daily if not hourly.

I think there is some weak evidence in there that conspiracy nuts are going to run with. There might be more to come or some things in the released documents undiscovered, but so far he is taking some major hits from people that already think he's a pedo but also from his looney base.

I think the redactions are also killing him. Even the stuff discovered with the incompetent redactions hasn't been too bad by Trump standards. But to your point, the fighting to keep things secret and the drip drip drip is making him look like he has something to hide.

And so this is what we've come to - the Federal Department of Justice has now become an operation which wastes time responding to criticisms of Dear Leader on the net, one at a time. God knows how many personnel who should be working on solving, you know, actual crimes, are now being required to surf the net and respond to any criticisms or findings from people on the net. The DOJ is now officially a trolling operation, like the rest of this nightmare administration.

The one saving grace of Trump since his first term is that he is an incompetent, undisciplined moron and he tends to surround himself with incompetent boobs. All of this could just be that the people he's got running the DOJ don't know what the hell they're doing and so, not surprisingly, this entire rollout has been a disaster and now they're desperately doing damage control. It certainly fits the actions and screwups of his other underlings in his first and especially second terms.
