From the article (paraphrased):
Dousay, who said he voted for Johnson and largely supports DOGE’s actions, doesn’t like it when those same actions affect him.

This South Florida suburb swung to Trump. Now many of its residents are facing deportation
...
THIS asshole.
Noel Ginestra voted for Trump, but now his sister, who is a TPS holder, is facing possible deportation. While he still backs the president, he said he hoped the TPS revocation is blocked in the courts.
“I supported him, but it disappointed us that he decided to end TPS,” Ginestra said, referring to Venezuelans. “It bothered us that he put everyone in the same bucket.”
Largest employer in the area is Trump's golf course too. I am sure he is hiring MIT grads to clean the toilets there and not desperate Venezuelans on humanitarian visas.“It bothered us that he put everyone in the same bucket”
That’s because European descent Hispanics are among the most racist people on the planet. Right up there with Bubba from Alabama.
There's a couple of Asian nations that are serious contenders.“It bothered us that he put everyone in the same bucket”

Yet very few of them say they’d have voted differently if they had the choice.I’m really evil deep down. I’m evil because my sense of schadenfreude is at record levels these days. I absolutely LOVE it when I hear or see stories of trump voters getting their face eaten, getting their just desserts, getting their comeuppance. I can’t seem to help myself, but I get giddy all over just thinking about the pain and suffering these assholes will surely endure. I know it’s not nice of me to have these feelings, but I do, and I relish the thought. It’s like watching one of those movies when the good guy finally gets the bad guy in the end and you are literally rooting for the bad guy to die in the most agonizing and painful manner possible. You applaud the blood in the screen, the more grotesque the better.
I’m evil like that. I’m changing my handle from Centerpiece to Schadenfreude
"...very few of them say they’d have voted differently if they had the choice."Yet very few of them say they’d have voted differently if they had the choice.
That’s the thing that stops me from gloating. They still don’t connect the dots. They still think Trump is a god—he just overstepped on this one issue that hurt them.
If only Stalin knew..."...very few of them say they’d have voted differently if they had the choice."
And this is EXACTLY why I don't feel guilty for wanting to actually see the leopard eat their friggin face. The more blood the better. I'm evil like that.
If only The Chairman could see what they do in his name!If only Stalin knew...
Some people will never make the final leap and understand that the difference between the threatening "them" conservatives create to win elections and "me and mine" is only as far as those conservatives want it to be.Sad. As Harry Bosch says "Everyone counts, or no one counts."

A father of a trans man voted for Trump. Now he fears an order targeting gender-affirming care will upend his son’s treatment
An executive order from Trump denying federal funding for providers of gender-affirming health care for minors threatens to upend care for many people. A Trump voter says he agrees with the president on everything but trans issues.www.yahoo.com
Rick Colby says he can’t support the Trump administration’s moves targeting the transgender community.
“I agree with just about everything Trump is doing except for transgender people,” Rick told CNN.
For Ashton, undergoing gender-affirming care allowed him to be in “a great place and be the person he was always meant to be, which is a man,” his father said.
“It doesn’t matter what your political affiliation is, my main concern is how to keep your child alive and help them to be happy and thrive and be productive members of society,” Rick said.
They know that admitting his failures is an admission of their own. So they’ll minimize it as much as they can, irrationally or not. They still don’t connect the dots. They still think Trump is a god—he just overstepped on this one issue that hurt them.
It's as if the economy was never an important point for MAGA. It's as if they unite in their hate, creating a problem when the hate boomerangs but hey nobody is perfect.“I agree with just about everything Trump is doing except for transgender people,” Rick told CNN.

Mainers speak out on social security cuts
Social Security beneficiaries, administration employees, and others gathered in Hallowell Tuesday to call on Maine's Congressional delegation to stop cuts to social security jobs and the program itself.www.wabi.tv
They are angry with plans by Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency to cut seven thousand jobs, and they’re concerned about the potential closure of the social security office in Presque Isle.
It’s the only one in Aroostook County, and its closure would force those who need services to drive to Bangor.

Aroostook County: +26 Trump.
