I don't know about "questioning" them but they are admittedly hard core. I'm considered a squishy or moderate MAGA:)

No defense of Fox on Dominion. I knew they were going down a rabbit hole on that issue and I argued with my MAGA friends not to place any stock in those allegations. The system worked as they paid Dominion a pile of money for their mistake. As you know, only a few anchors, mainly Tucker, asserted those false allegations.

Fox is news channel, carrying news throughout the day and ending with Bret Baier's show - granted with a right of center slant. The nighttime lineup is conservative entertainment, ending the evening with the very entertaining Greg Gutfeld.

They didn't just make a "mistake". They deliberately LIED to promote Trump's narrative of a stolen election that's still being peddled after 60 court dismissals. That's not the conduct of a news channel. They have more in common with The Daily Show than they do with CNN.
 
I venture to guess I consume a lot more of Fox than you do. I can tell you that very few reporters or hosts (or guests) on Fox reported or opined that the Dominion software had been rigged to give Biden the victory or otherwise defamed Dominion. Tucker, yes and Lou Dobbs on Fox Business were the main culprits. Hannity would occasionally have Sydney Powell or Giuliani on but he didn't endorse it. It's fully on Fox that they allowed Tucker to run with it on his show night after night and that's why they were forced to pay the big bucks.

1. Bartiromo, Pirro, Hannity were all named in the complaint as having made derogatory comments about Dominion.

2. I guess we get to do this again: is a publisher liable for defamation if it distributes defamatory materials? I think the answer is yes, which makes the "didn't endorse it" part irrelevant. He had an affirmative duty to correct it, knowing that it was false. Otherwise it's defamation by him. Do you agree?

Even a retraction can't un-ring a bell. They put it out to the MAGA blogosphere knowing that it would be lapped up and spread as gospel. Some probably still believe it.

I was listening to episode 1 of 2 of Gavin Newsom talking to Dr. Phil on his podcast and Phil told a story about him and his wife trying to watch the news at dinner, switching between multiple channels covering the same story, and finding completely different angles to the coverage of that story.

The amount of "fact" provided by news outlets is very minimal. The rest is the person's interpretation of events, or hearsay, presented as fact.

Repeating the same canards about Hillary for 20 years pretty well demonized her. Some of it turned into self fulfilling prophecy. In a failed attempt to dodge some of the criticism about her, she became robotic and lost any personality she ever had.

When you believe that one side always tells the truth, you're going to believe that anything they say is going to be the truth.

Farce isn’t a leftist.

He’s a businessman and pragmatist who supports the US Constitution.

Nah, most of my circle are pro-business moderates on either side of the aisle. I hang with some folks who voted for Trump in 2016, but didn’t vote for him again. Anyone I know who voted for Trump since 2016, our relationship has likely gradually drifted apart. I myself regularly voted for quite a few Republicans pre-Trump but since 2016, I will only vote for Republicans who denounce Trump (turns out there ain’t many of them.)

I know Fox News watchers, and some MSNBC watchers and the Fox folks tend to watch more TV news and put a lot more stock in it than the MSNBC types do. I don’t know anybody who watches TYT or OAN. I just don’t hang with many extremists. Mostly consumers of mainstream news because my friends tend to be pretty centrist, mainstream Americans. Then again, if you’re hanging with folks who think Fox is insufficiently conservative you might think my moderate friends are “very radical left people.” But that likely says more about you and your friends than about me and mine. Look at how many right wing news outlets to the right of Fox exist and compare that to the dearth of liberal counterparts on cable channel lineup. The fact that you consider mainstream legacy media outlets to be “liberal” is hilarious, and tells us plenty about your perspective. Do those networks and publications employ some liberals? Certainly, but look at who owns those networks and the veil of liberalism falls apart.
