So now we're evaluating the rest of the world as "targets of opportunity" that can be taken if their historic rulers aren't able to defend it, and don't have the military power to stand up to the USA? What Miller is basically saying is "We're the USA, we're the bully on the block, we're bigger and tougher than everybody else - especially a little nothing country like Denmark - and so we have the right to just go in and take any part of the world that we want away from its rightful and legal owners if we want to. Nobody can stop us!"

Our ancestors during and after WW2 worked long and hard to build up a US-led series of global alliances that would prevent another world war, and would at least try to prevent any nation from doing what Trump 2.0 is now doing. We're literally destroying our own system of alliances that we built so that we can now do what previous American governments tried to prevent other nations from doing. We're wrecking international law and becoming a pirate rogue state. What a disgrace.

I remember when conservatives kept claiming that Gutfeld was just hilarious on his late-night show and gloated about his ratings. The truth is that he's just another blowhard right-wing tool and asshole and is as bad as all of Fox's other right-wing late-night talking heads. For me, this one is worse than Venezuela. We all know it’s about oil, but some will still make an argument about removing a dictator. There is literally no justification for this, and it’s aggressive behavior towards someone who should be an ally.

I'm just saying the combined actions are all the justification needed for the EU to do whatever they're going to do in response. Which would be the likely inflection point for escalation.

Actually I think what someone wrote on another thread the other day was more relevant - the current problems started when Sherman didn't burn down the South completely. Agree I think - but what are we worried ABOUT? What are we worried will happen? I can't put my finger on it. Someone attacks the USA? Kind of know it's coming. Breaking up of the world order? Get it over with....the nation of North Carolina will be meager but hopefully OK. I figure a Luxembourg type of place.
