Hell yes! America has been made great again. Now that we have made sure that the 6.5 transgender athletes in the entire United States are banned from sports, surely any moment now grocery and gas prices and mortgage rates are going to plummet! That’s what I’m fucking talking about, atta boy, President Trump. Tackling the tough issues that affect every American every day!

Sucks for all of the Republicans who post on this board, though. Now they are going to go completely AWOL from all discussion!

I don't know if I'd go that far, but it really is embarrassing for such a high percentage of calla's and HY's recent comments to relate to this issue. It's easily in the bottom 1% of the HUNDREDS of things happening in the political world right now in terms of relevance and potential harm, but it's all these guys can find to defend. I'd also be humiliated if I had voted for this catastrophe of an administration, but I'd like to think I wouldn't be trying to distract from it by posting about something as insignificant as this.
The reason it’s getting a lot of talk is because it was the issue that decided the election on the margins. The most effective ad of the entire campaign was the one tying Harris to support for taxpayer funded sex change operations, and she couldn’t speak out against it. Lunacy.

So you mean to tell me you believe that if gas had been 2$ a gallon and rent and groceries were down 25%, Trump would still have won on this issue?

You’re talking about it because there’s not a single thing Trump is doing that even YOU can find a way to defend. YOU!!! And you’ll defend almost anything. That’s the only reason you’re saying a word about it.

No. But in the inflationary environment we were in, which set up a toss up election, the Democrats’ stance on culture wars (specifically transgender) was enormously detrimental to them among the late-breaking and undecided voters who determined the election.

The Department of Education Told Employees to End Support for Transgender Students

“The U.S. Department of Education told employees late Friday that it will end all programs, contracts and policies that “fail to affirm the reality of biological sex,” carrying out President Donald Trump’s vow to restrict transgender rights.

The broad language in the email did not specify which programs or policies would be impacted, or how many schools or students might be affected. But the order appears designed to target programs that in recent years supported transgender students — school-based mental health servicesand support for homeless students, for example.

“These corrective measures will include thorough review and subsequent termination of Departmental programs, contracts, policies, outward-facing media, regulations, and internal practices,” according to the email sent to department employees and obtained by ProPublica.

… The email sent to employees Friday afternoon stated: “The deliberate subjugation of women and girls by means of gender ideology — whether in intimate spaces, weaponized language, or American classrooms — negated the civil rights of biological females and fostered distrust of our federal institutions.” …”

US military will no longer accept trans troops, Pete Hegseth’s memo says

Trump’s defense secretary filed the memo in line with an executive order signed by the president

“… the memo from Hegseth on Monday – filed with the US district court in Washington DC – said: “Effective immediately, all new accessions for individuals with a history of gender dysphoria are paused.

“All unscheduled, scheduled, or planned medical procedures associated with affirming or facilitating a gender transition for service members are paused.”

… Hegseth’s memo added, “The department must ensure it is building ‘one force’ without subgroups defined by anything other than ability or mission adherence. Efforts to split our troops along lines of identity weaken our force and make us vulnerable. Such efforts must not be tolerated or accommodated.”

The memo from Hegseth cited Trump’s executive order, stating: “As the president clearly stated … ‘expressing a false “gender identity” divergent from an individual’s sex cannot satisfy the rigorous standards necessary for military service’.”

Hegseth said individuals with gender dysphoria who are already in the military would be “treated with dignity and respect”, and the under secretary of defense for personnel and readiness would provide additional details on what this would mean. …”

Great! Now that we’ve ended our long national nightmare involving of the .000001% of the population, I’m sure those grocery prices will nosedive annnnnny day now.
Yes, because it was all about the economy and not being an open homophobe, racist, or bigot.

Yes, these are the same people polled that thought that America is 20% trans. Ignorant ass voters who allowed trump to play them into voting based on something they will probably never encounter personally, while not paying attention to issues that really make a difference for an actual high percentage of the population.
