I responded b/c this story has gotten a lot of national coverage, so knowing little about the TJ I was curious about how extreme this result was.
Anyway, as a HS basketball player I was a decidedly undersized center at 5-9. Our cross-town rival had a 6-1 center who got a D-1 scholarship and was a 4-year starter in the Metro conference, when she averaged 14+ ppg and over 7 rpg for her career (she score more and rebounded a bit less her freshman year in college). Her HS team was a dominant team that won the state title.

And there have also been bills introduced in red states since January to end no-fault divorce, ban easy access to contraceptives for women, and on and on. A bill proposed in the Texas legislature could charge transgender Texans with a felony if they commit what proponents call “gender identity fraud.”

According to the bill, “gender identity fraud” would be commuted if a person “knowingly makes a false or misleading verbal or written statement to a governmental entity or the person’s employer by identifying the person’s biological sex as the opposite of the biological sex assigned to the person at birth.”
The penalty if someone were to commit "gender identity fraud" would be a state felony, which could land a person in prison for up to two years and a $10,000 fine. This is correct. That triple jump is a very good jump and depending on what the rules are when she graduates, would get her recruited to D1, but she's still well short of the state record.
