Fox News guest mocked for claiming exorbitant price for Thanksgiving turkey
Former United States Representative Jason Chaffetz was mocked on X after his bold claim about the price of holiday birds which, he said, was due to president Joe Biden’s economic policieswww.the-independent.com
“A Fox News contributor was ridiculed online after claiming that the price of a turkey in the run-up to Thanksgiving had gone up to an extortionate $90.
… Attacking the Biden administration’s policies and the resulting price hikes, Mr Chaffetz said: “We went to go buy a turkey today, it was $90 for a turkey.
“The price of stamps is up 32 per cent in the last four years, but it’s all a choice by Joe Biden. That’s what Bidenomics is.”
Fellow commentator Brian Brenberg added: “I hope Jason’s turkey was made of steak, because that’s a lot of money for a turkey.”…”
It was once a thing but not in some time.Where on earth can you buy a half a pound of celery? You can buy a head of celery, You can buy a "heart" of celery if you're dying to pay the same as for a head, but for some reason really want to get less celery.
Have I been missing out on the big bulk bins of celery where they sell it buy the stalk?
This is just such ha bizarre list. Is this AI slop?It was once a thing but not in some time.
I do not think we can divorce who owns and runs the Post from the flaky content they’ve started pumping out. This is just such ha bizarre list. Is this AI slop?
A 16 pound turkey will feed 10-12 people (with no leftovers). How are we going to stretch that 1 pound of potatoes for that number of people? After peeling we're talking a tablespoon or two of mashed potatoes per person?
Oh yeah, the prestigious and respected WaPo of days past is long gone. Most of their best reporters have left and their editorial content has taken a definite shift to the Trumpian right. It's definitely wise to be vey skeptical of most of what they're putting out these days. Bezos has taken what was one of the nation's most respected legacy newspapers and turned it into a (mostly) ass-kissing Trumper news organ.I do not think we can divorce who owns and runs the Post from the flaky content they’ve started pumping out.
So true. I had a digital subscription to the NYT and then when they started bo-siding Trump hard during the 2016 election, I canceled and replaced it with a subscription to the WaPo. Then when Bezos killed the Kamala endorsement, I had to cancel that too.Oh yeah, the prestigious and respected WaPo of days past is long gone.
