I tend to assume that her zag to the left in 2019 is not as representative of her views as her zig back to the middle in 2024 since the latter seems generally more consistent with her pre-2019 career, but her promises in the 2019 continue to dog her now and (if she wins) will probably result in a good bit of political flak no matter which way she leans in governing.

Of course I’m going to be called a troll.

I knew that when I decided to join. I was called a troll on the ZZL and ZZL-P board because I dared go against the group think that many of you subscribe to.

Guess what? I’m also a long standing member of The Ram’s Club and gasp…. I go to football games!!

So you should also add… “Welcome from The Tar Pit….”

Considering the number of facets there are to oil production, my first question is how they are related? The second would be what, if any procedures might have changed in that time. Then I want to know how relevant this is to any of our real problems today as compared to anything Trump has said about anything.

The other thing that comes to mind is that oil companies have, in fact, done a great deal of environmental damage. Why aren't they civilly or criminally responsible for mitigation of that damage? It certainly happens with other chemicals and/or with oil spills. Where does the line end?

Which board name do you use on Naked Africa?

Fucking irritating. Trump has changed his entire persona several times in his career. But let's act like they are even and these are fair.

These damn journalists...you are the ones he will come after first. And you think your money will save you as you flee, but then the country will be left to burn thanks to your irresponsibility.

Seems more than a little to lavish praise to me, but I am always suspicious of lavish praise in political campaigns (or in life generally, really).

I did think she seemed more relaxed and more willing to move beyond her talking points, which is a good thing.

My question would be, why are they mutually exclusive? Can't you hold them accountable for their environmental footprint while lauding them for a job well done? We do want these companies to be environmentally responsible. Don't we?

Well it was really targeted to an important group that feels ignored.

Fox will be airing Bret Baire's interview with Kamala in a couple of hours. He has been inundated with MAGA emails and texts warning him not to go easy on her. He has responded to MAGA nation by assuring them he will be tough on her.

It will be interesting to see if he capitulates and joins the Jesse Watters/Frau Ingraham, Sean Hannity team

Anecdotal story incoming.

Small town in the Piedmont/foothills of NC in a very red county. Family member goes to the democrat HQ in town, picks up a couple Stein/Harris signs.

Lady inside says she is very optimistic about NCs chances. Says people have been coming in to get signs/materials consistently, and an older 85 year old gentleman came in and got one of every sign they had, said he's a Republican, but is voting for Harris and Dems because he'd be damned if anyone is telling his granddaughter what she can or can't do.

Thought that was cool.

Yeah, I listened to it this morning and she really did well. She's gonna win this thing.
