In a sorta “it’s a small world” way, C & L McDougle Middle and Elementary Schools are named for the man who was longtime principal at Culbreth (co-named for his wife).

They were educators in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro School System for 40 years. Prior to integration they taught in the black schools.

She taught my 3rd grade class. She was a kind, caring teacher.

He doesn't excite me. Absolutely stunk from 3 this year, which is unacceptable for someone with that high of volume. Just a career 42% shooter from 2-point range also. Looks like a below-average defender too, since in both of his years, his team's defensive efficiency is worse with him on the floor.

The staff didn’t blame anybody for the disappointing results.

Defending EC’s shots at the program on his way out is kind of a tough stance to take, imo. We usually want better than that. It’s called maturity and class.

He said this in his comments about getting Jonathan Powell, the day after EC made his comments when committing to UM...

"Then also, can this person handle the spotlight to play here? This is different. It's just different. And I'm not trying to distinguish ourselves between anyone else, but I am. The lights are bright here and everything that you do will be critiqued or criticized. And for some people it's very difficult. They can't handle that. So we have to decide if this person is able to handle the spotlight here and able to perform on this type of stage."

While he doesn't name EC, you can decide for yourself if it seems like a subtextual comment about him or not.
