The admin and the job itself also took a beating on TBS earlier with Lefco, Jalen Rose, Bruce Pearl, and Mashburn. Aside from going to bat for HD they said the job is not what it used to be. Random SEC schools (like LSU was thrown out there) are more popular destinations for coaches now that money has leveled the playing field.

Seems like plenty of nationally prominent voices with some interesting takes.

Hubert is gone. College basketball is dead. You'd better hope some sketchy private investors with mental illnesses take a liking or the school goes rogue.

School daze is done. Unregulated money. No oversight. No rules.

The Carolina Way died when wing nuts chose duplicity, their bank accounts and chaos.

Over what I fear is coming? I hope it doesn’t happen but it would make HD’s tenure look like a golden age.

None of you guys considered how things could unravel on levels far beyond tourney appearances or seeds or whatever metric makes your ego feel best. Only that there were “standards” not being met and now “mediocrity” is being thrown around by idiots, pointing at generally pretty damn good results that most coaches and fanbases would kill for, yet still beneath what THEY are entitled to!

You guys all thought it couldn’t get worse than what it was. Well now we’re going to find out.
 
UNC Basketball needs to be rebuilt. The Dean Smith era ended with Roy Williams's retirement. The Davis era is marked by decline. Once people realize this - you can see comments like Kenny's in a different light. It is true that UNC Basketball doesn't have the name mystique it used to have. We need a coach who can build a new dynasty and create a new mystique.

I'm old. I've seen what's coming. We're not going back to the way things were. That main selling point was always school. School is out.

Maga, bo siders, delusional sports fans and their billionaires took the entitled carolina fan's dream and tossed it in the chipper.

Dpshts were always able to troll unc on their goody two shoes act and the whole cheats slur.

We are too good to get dirty and too scared to get dirty at the same time.

The only palatable solution is to run a program of solid citizens that can play basketball and stop looking for a dopamine dump at the same time every damned year. Hell, 60 plus years for some ppl.

Recruit and coach....or sell your soul.

UNC doesn't seem like a soul seller. It has a faction of the base that is/are and they're obnoxious.

Let us have an understanding based and rooted in something. Some ppl are dumb. Some ppl are liars.

Are you asking me because you don't understand or is it bait for a dopamine dump? I can go either way. If you're looking for dpshtry, at least be funny. If you're looking for an actual conversation, I'll probably ask you follow up questions, for clarity, like you're 5.
