Also, re Dusty May -- IU wanted him last offseason since he was of Knight's line. UM gave him a raise and increased the buyout.

Blue blood implies historical relevance, not current relevance. And by that standard, we belong near the top of that group, behind only Kentucky.

I get what he's trying to say, but we've won a national title since they have, and we've been to 3 Final Fours and played in 3 championship games since they last won a title and they've been to 2 Final Fours with no championship game appearances in the last decade. Yes dook has won more games and been more consistent than we have (especially since 2020), but if you're using the metric of a blue blood having gone to Final Fours and played in national championship games and actually won a national title over the last decade as the measure of a blue blood we're at least as relevant as they are. Jay might want to rethink that one, although of course he was just throwing that out there for hits and attention.
