IC going to On3

Interesting side note... it appears there was a new bball commitment last night that 247 is not even aware of yet... 7 foot Croatian transfer from High Point... looks more like long term depth than expected immediate impact player.
 
Does 247 have a bigger network of "recruiting gurus" than On3? There's a "recruiting chat" thread with a million "staff" guys responding. It's like AJ and Kevin Ryan put up a bat signal for all 247 people to help come weigh-in.

I'm not sure that they have a bigger network, but they've sure got everyone in that one thread.

It's like when there's a major issue at work and suddenly all the director/manager level staff come out of their offices.

I whole heartedly agree with your characteriztion. But, . . ., there was a time when such a characterization meant something. My father was "socially liberal and fiscally conservative." He was also on the board of directors of the local chapter of the NAACP. He was the county chairman for the 1960 Kennedy and the 1972 McGovern campaigns. In the 1950's he stood shoulder to shoulder with his father, when the local Klan threatened to burn a cross in my grandfather's front yard. My grandfather actually defused that particular situation by remindimg everyone of which Pacific campaigns by father served in during WW2. The popular story was that the head of the local Klan and leader of the American Legion Post did his "service" during WW2 by reporting to Ft. Bragg for basic training and peeing in his bed every night until the Army let him go home to his Mama.

If so, click the 3 lines in the upper left corner & then the little person icon I’ve circled and “preferences” will appear below.

No one involved is ever going to give you the details of the negotiations, why they left, how much money was offered, etc (and legally they may not be able to give you those details). And everyone involved is going to be interested in telling you what happened from their perspective, which means it will necessarily be somewhat biased. But I think in general, the situation is:
  • IC's contract with 247 was either expiring or able to be terminated with a certain notice period
  • IC decided that it was better off long-term with On3, for financial or operational reasons or both, and informed 247 that it would be leaving
  • 247 has taken steps to have another UNC fan site step into IC's place
  • Due to contractual obligations (if I had to guess, it would be at 247's insistence) IC was not allowed to talk about the details of their leaving and what they would be offering at On3 while still on the 247 platform
