How much do you think @Rock could charge if he made a premium politics page? Would weed out some of the trolls and maybe we could get inside tips on the next Fed chair. Do podcasts with Roy Cooper?
 
Between the head guy thinking that a poster was asking about Luka Dončić and not UNC Luca and this reply regarding Luca, their basketball prowess is not off to a good start.

It hasn’t been an if not when situation for quite some time now. The lead basketball reporter shouldn’t be saying that when we are hours away from him being granted his visa. And the NCAA thing has nothing to do with him joining the team at this time.

I think he said that backwards...it's a "when, not if" situation. Still not a good look.

And who got the Lukas confused? And where?
 
Both sites today are generally a Love Fest-with both Staffs on line full time talking nicely to the "new customers" ON3 has like ALL their National staff chumming it up also
I am not complaining
Now of course some folks that did not go ON3 but stayed on 247 are bitching about some of the historic IC staff..Its folks like that ruin these sites . I mean STFU that you didn't respect staffer X-whose salary you helped pay for 20 years

Some poster I had never heard of on the free board cheered my departure. So ... glad I made at least one person happy in the last day. :)
 
AJ is a great writer or story teller and has really great understanding of the sports world. I recall him showing some "red" during the covid era, like many footballers, but it will be interesting to see how much good stuff he can pump out to try and keep up with Barnes, Staples, etc. I'd kinda hoped IC would hire him.
 
The thing that has surprised me the most is the amount of posters whose response to the transitions today has either been...

- "What's going on here? Where are Ben/Buck/Rell?"

or

- "How are the boards still here? Am I already on On3?"

The first time or two I saw these (or variations), I thought the posters were trying to be funny. Then it kept happening and the posters in question kept asking questions and I can only conclude that folks were serious.

I never try to underestimate how stupid people can be, but I have to admit this shook me a bit.
 
There are no mods on the TH247L. Posters are already going feral with political posts and cussing.

That part amuses me greatly.
