IC going to On3

The traffic on the IC ZZL definitely went down after they got rid of the political board. I don't know if the traffic now at TH247 is more or less than they had at THI, but it isn't very much at all right now on their off-topic board.

Well I guess I would say that politics was banished, thus we are siphoning people off. Clearly it was their decision which lead to the creation of this board... but regardless of the originating act, the end result is that there is a sizeable portion of the "UNC interested" population who will not subscribe to 247 or On3 (or provide unsubscribed traffic) because these spin off boards exist (here/HT/BoB).

HT has about 20-25 people who regularly post. At the peak we had probably 40. Most left bc life happens while others left bc they had issues with some on the board. The owner of the BoB regularly posts on HT. Speaking of the BoB, it's been years since I was last on but when I was there, they had probably 10 people who regularly post. It is and has always been the wild west. I never liked it much but I'm friends with several who still post there but who also post on HT.

This place has a lot more who regularly post than both HT & BoB combined.

Looks like it has more than IC and TH247 combined, too.
 
IC is definitely in it for the long haul. I agree that their traffic seems way down but there’s also nothing going on in either sport. When they start putting out the content, people will yearn for the drip. My .02.

Some of the posters I really liked were pulled over to BoB/HT, but neither board ever pulled me in like this one did. I quickly lost interest in both... never made a conscious decision to stop visiting them... I just stopped without realizing it. From what little I recall, the only thread on HT that had any traffic was the one talking about what was going on at the ZZL... but my memory may be faulty on this topic.

Yeah I frequent this board and those 2z. Occasionally I might go to On3 after UNC wins a big game or there is something big like Hubert gets fired or something. But that’s what ive done since HT started. I just don’t like boards that are heavily moderated or something.

Neither HT nor the BoB (especially the BoB) are heavily moderated.

I've never read or posted at BoB, and while I've never posted there I did read HT pretty regularly, and I still go over there sometimes. They have some pretty good threads from time to time, but they also do have far fewer regular posters than here. I had gradually cut back my posting on IC except for the old ZZLP, mainly because the free basketball and football boards had become so toxic and negative all the damn time. But since this board was created I hardly ever go to IC to even read the posts there anymore. This board not only has some great political discussions, but imo it also has great threads on sports and culture and even history (thanks bosco, among others) as well. I've never been into paying to follow recruiting or other "insider" info, so this board has just about everything I need regarding UNC and other topics. I doubt I'll ever pay much attention to IC or 247 or any other board as long as this one remains as active as it is.

Yeah, I haven't been on IC since the ZZLP demise but, honestly, by the end I was barely posting - maybe once a month, if that. I was mainly over on HT and when this board opened, of course I signed up. That said, I rarely post on any board anymore.

Definitely not posting on either new257 or On3. I've actively blocked emails from both.

I haven’t been to the BoB in years, but that one was pretty worthless. Very little activity, but what little activity there was lacked any interesting discussion. It was kind of like the message board version of an Adam Sandler movie. But with porn.
 
I used to post on the BoB and HT a good bit. I mostly quit both of them because they were NSFW and I eventually just kinda quit posting on them in the few non-work hours I might be available.

I still visit the BoB once every 2-3 months or so. I don't always even post, but I read a bit. I haven't been to HT in years as my log-in no longer works and I can't seem to recover my password for either of the 2 emails I think I would have used to sign up.

At this point, I'm here and at both of ICOn3 and TH247. By the time my $1 On3 subscription ends at the end of October and my 247 subscription ends near the end of November, I'll decide if I'm going to re-up at either place. I certainly won't choose more than one.
