IC going to On3

The On3 ZZL has post on the front page that haven't had a response since Feb.

The front page of 247 is at least in the current month.
The old ZZL was dying a slow death once IC decided to divide “regular” topics and political topics into separate forums.

Think it was inevitably going to fade into oblivion either way though. That community was much more divided politically, and in this day and age I think it’s pretty much impossible for an online community to have productive discussion without threads turning into mud slinging contests when its user base is split like that. Even this place struggles with that and we can probably count the number of regular conservative posters on one hand lol.

So, splitting the forums into two places was probably necessary, but constantly trying to avoid politics or other touchy subjects on the regular ZZL made it super boring. Not surprised at all that there’s basically no engagement over there anymore.

I am just trying to spread the gospel.
I see this place as something like the neighborhood bar where I like to hang out and enjoy the company of my fellow regulars and some others who pop in from time to time. I also welcome new people, but I don’t want the place to attract large crowds or obnoxious drunks coming in and ruining the vibe.

Idiot!!

That being said, the coaching search and the recent portal activity have been interesting to watch through the lenses of both 247 and IC. IC clearly has better sources from within the program. They were telegraphing behind the scenes Brown and Able news and imminent public announcements while 247 had no clue that Able was even on UNC's radar.
