“Look, people need to understand,” Homan told
Fox News on Friday. ICE officers “don’t need probable cause to walk up to somebody, briefly detain and question them.”
“They just need to tally the circumstances, right?” he claimed. “They just go through their observation, you know, get out typical facts based on the location, the occupation, their physical appearance, their actions.”
This makes sense to me...we don't need no stinkin' probable cause...just go through a simple quick check list :
physical appearance --- Are they brown ? check
occupation--- service worker ? farm laborer ? check
location--- walking within a mile of an upper middle class neighborhood or shopping in a Walmart, or picking up their kid at a school or attending a church ? check
actions--- mowing grass in front of a Home Depot or conversing in Spanish with other brown people in the presence of nearby white people ? check
easy peasy.
Let's not get all hung up on the Constitution and rule of law. Our beloved ICE has a mandate to round up 10 million brown people. If they have to follow the rule of law they will never meet that goal.
