I posted a long time ago that I could see Trump creating his own personal version of the brownshirts - an armed militia made up of right-wing, mostly poor or working-class white thugs from the worst elements of American life who would act on the personal orders of Dear Leader or his minions and whose loyalty was to him personally and not to the law or any legal force, and which would act beyond the law. I joked that he might call it the "Patriot Militia", but it appears that unfortunately he and Kristi Noem have created just that type of paramilitary MAGA strike force, and it's called ICE.
 
The emperor has arrived. In doing so he lays bare the true desires of conservatives. The decades of lies and disinformation they have used to prop up political positions were always about angling for power. It has never been about helping anyone but themselves.
