Yeah, IDF pretty clearly knows they have cover in Gaza while the focus shifts to Iran — and their food relief distribution bottlenecks seem to provide an irresistible shooting ducks in a barrel opportunity (as many observers said could be a huge risk when this plan was announced).

(Arguably, Putin is similarly exploiting the events in Iran to ratchet up attacks on civilians in Ukraine.)

And the more Trump buys into Israel’s action in Iran (and the opportunity to claim a big victory), the less concerned he will be about a peaceful resolution to the events in Gaza (or Ukraine). Despite his hollow attempts to win a Nobel, he’s much more naturally inclined to conquest than peace.
