Could be part of a hostage release deal, and turnover of power in gaza to the PA
Israel could find them in Iran i bet. They could get special pagers too.
You make a good point, they have not let up on other terrorist or iran much.

Why is it that virtually all genocide scholars -- both historians and legal analysts -- disagree with you? Is it because you are so much more knowledgeable than they are?
Politics? Emotion? A different opinion of what it means to commit genocide?
You are the most arrogant poster around. You think you know more about everything than everyone, when in reality you're just a groundling.
It's not just me who doesn't believe Israel is committing genocide.

We discussed this on posts 2072-2074 on this thread, but this is how I define genocide:

According to the 1948 International Genocide Convention it means committing acts "with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group."

I don't see actions that make me believe Israel intends to destroy Palestinians in Gaza. I see the opposite. They warn civilians. They use targeted attacks. Just the low number of civilian deaths is reflective of a lack of intent. Israel could, if they desired, kill 50k Palestinians in an hour if not less.

And Dahmer could have killed a lot more quickly than he did. Doesn't mean he had any less of an intent to do so eventually. It meant he knew too much heat was bad for business. Bibi is in the same mold.

Yes. Theirs is informed. Yours is a willful misreading of a treaty you don't understand and a complete ignorance of everything that has happened since. An "opinion" without basis is trash.

There is nothing in the definition of genocide that requires it to be conducted as quickly as it possibly could be. Russia could destroy the globe with nukes in 15 minutes, so I guess that means they can't commit genocide.

And "intent" doesn't mean what you think it does, as every lawyer -- even Ramrouser! -- knows. Intent does not require a confession. Intent is not cloaked by plausible deniability. Intent can be inferred from actions, as well as statements.

I'm not talking about this with you any more. I don't fraternize with arrogant mooks.

The irony of the most condescending poster calling me arrogant.

It has nothing to do with arrogance. It has to do with a) a definition of a word and b) observing the objective events that would show genocide is occuring.

Hamas killed 1100 civilians in around 8 hours. They did that with knives and hand-held guns.

If Israel just matched that rate of civilian death, there would be well over 500,000 dead Palestinians by now.

The onus is on those who claim there's a genocide happening to explain why they believe that, given that the facts show otherwise.

Here's a pic of Gazans lining up for food at drop off point. Surrounded by destroyed buildings.

It's a terrible situation. It would be easier to get aid to the people if Hamas would stop using the aid stations as an opportunity to start gun fights.
