3 things:
1) NC is still a purple State
2) Maga is in the rural areas. Period.
3) Loads of Blue in all the cities and municipalities that actually count in terms of people with whom you'd rather interact. Period.

I live in WNC and I simply ignore and don't interact with the cretins. Stay in a blue bubble and do your business. Just dog everybody else. If you can't eat 'em or fuck 'em, piss on 'em.

I'm Not saying it's true, but there are bad people in any military and, yes, they can do bad things.

A former co-worker and friend was in one of the most horrible events in the Iraq war. He told us stories about things that were done to people they captured and I am 100% sure that some of them were illegal. They were never told to do these things, but they did them anyway.

I’m guessing Rai Guy is placing more blame on the Israeli government than on individual low-ranking soldiers.
 
It’s a messed up world when we allow babies like this to starve to death when the formula he needed was a few miles away being blocked by Israel. And when someone speaks up against it, some label them antisemitic.

 
Glastonbury Festival in the UK made some news today.




The BBC did not broadcast Kneecap’s performance due to their expected pro-Palestine, anti-Israel message but apparently didn’t know much about Bob Vylan and did broadcast their performance live.

I know that's what you said. Then you went much further than that later by saying that attempting to hold the Israeli government responsible for the actions of those people was a form of smearing an entire group of people.
 
How many hostages are left? These sides need to be told by everything in the world community that the hostages must be released and Israel has to get out. This is ridiculous.

The smear is the assumption that any/all bad behavior is at the request of the Israeli government.

My concern is whether or not the Israeli government does thorough investigations and holds any wrongdoers accountable, not whether or not the Israeli government is held accountable for soldiers who do terrible things on their own.

Like I said earlier, in any/every war, there will be people who do bad things despite what they are told by their leadership.

They had an agreement, during the ceasefire, to release the hostages. However, Israel decided to break it because Netanyahu wants to keep the genocide going. It’s never been about the hostages.

Not accurate. Much like when you posted that Mossad's HQ were located under Israel's largest hospital. I won't call it a lie, but you were less than forthright. But no one here will point out your inaccuracies. The fact is that Hamas created a last minute, let's call it "crisis" after the cease fire agreement was confirmed demanding the release of murderers serving life sentences in Israel and Bibi's thugs used it as a pretense to continue the war.
 
There are undoubtedly members of Netanyahu's coalition for whom the ultimate goal is annexation of Gaza, however the publicly stated criteria for an end to the war is 1) release of all hostages and 2) systematic removal of Hamas as the governing authority in Gaza. If both were to happen - it would be very difficult for the Israeli government to continue the war - domestic political pressure would be more than this government can handle and still remain in power.

As Batt Boy notes - there has never been an agreement to release all of the hostages. It does seem like the situation in Iran is hastening some of the diplomatic processes with Hamas via Qatar. We'll see how things play out over the next few days.
 
Israel has no reason to believe any agreement will be reached with Hamas. It only will create a future deal with whoever is left representing the Gazans.

With Iran, it's more like Hezbollah. Israel has reason to believe a "Hezbollah-like" agreement can be reached with Iran.
For context, the terms of the agreement between Israel-Lebanon-Hezbollah:
  1. Hezbollah must withdraw from southern Lebanon.
  2. Lebanon's Armed Forces disarm Hezbollah and assume control over its territory.
  3. Israel can conduct airstrikes on Hezbollah if the LAF cannot respond quickly enough. (Practically, Israel has been conducting strikes against Hezbollah near daily since then).
With something like that in place, it will feel free to continue strikes to further cripple Iran's military and leadership whenever it sees fit.
