So, his book wasn’t about left or Liberal radio talk show hosts encouraging their followers to “do something” about right-wingers or “conservatives.”

Wouldn’t that be Deep-Sixing him? Nonetheless, would appreciate you guys not putting us in the position of having to arbitrate the question of the understanding of 86-ing someone. My husband is convinced everyone knows it is mob-speak for murder. I thought that was deep six, not 86. But TBH I think many of those 8646 posts I added earlier do look like they intended more than impeaching Biden but that is not how I generally understood them.

Still, seriously, given that we’ve had a positive response to our request to restrain language implying political violence, would appreciate not asking us to moderate this question in this way.

Would be the first time I've heard it used that way. Like I said earlier, I bet it's the seashells that's making it more ominous. After all, they were once living things and now look at them lying there all dead and sending a message. I'd even put it right up there with putting a horse head in someone's bed.

Slack day prep cook. That pollo had to be cooked beginning first thing in the morning in great big pots. Then it had to sit in the walk-in for a couple of hours to cool down. Next was to "Pick the Chicken," i.e. debone it. This was often done when the chicken was still uncomfortably hot and would be the thing that might keep a day prep cook around much longer than they cared and after the evening cooks had arrived. Here I am referring to how things went at Tijuana Fats where I eventually held every job, including day prep. Truly hated "Picking Chicken."
