Just catching up on this thread and absolutely laughing my fucking ass off at the Republicans on here acting like they would vote for Jeff Jackson in a senatorial or presidential election. Get the absolute and utter fuck out of here, y’all are absolutely awful at lying. You’ve read Jeff Jackson’s policy positions, right? The moment he announces a national race, every damn one of y’all is going to be talking about how he is the next coming of Che Guevara. Godalmighty :LOL:

Good question. But I know from someone who is about as close to the Cooper family as you can get, that Roy had the first right of refusal for Kamala’s VP pick back in the summer, but did not want Mark Robinson near levers of power. So it does seem that he may have national ambitions.

I do not believe that you would and I know for certain at least one person who liked your post would not as he's said as much even though he likes Jackson in office in NC.

You can also add Roy Cooper to the list of people whom they'll vote for in NC but never for national office.

That seems to be my recollection as well.

If I'm incorrect, I apologize but don't think I am.

I actually seem to remember some kind of triangulation vote for Mark Robinson for LT Gov only because it would keep Cooper from considering running for Senate.

That’s definitely my stance as it relates to Democrats in general. But the more I hear from Jackson, the more he separates himself from the fray. I would absolutely prefer him be governor of NC than a US senator from NC though if given a choice. He can make a lot more of an impact as governor.

Correct. See post above. I would much rather talented democrats I like stay in state where they can be more useful, vs just being a number for chuck schumer in DC.

If we are talking POTUS though, you aren’t “just a number” for anybody at that point.

So in summary, Jackson for US senate? Previous comments may apply depending who he is running against. Jackson for POTUS? Sign me up!!

If Jackson ever does run for POTUS one day, I can guarantee you that Republicans everywhere will start calling him a Socialist/Marxist/Satanist radical pedophile bum who wants to sell America to China. They do it every four years, no matter who the Democratic candidate is. And they do it because it works.

Have you seen the photos of him in Afghanistan? He has beard! Did he convert?
In all seriousness, Jackson actually had to caption the photos of him in Afghanistan with an explanation that because of his duties, he had to interface with Afghan civilians, he was requested by the Army to grow a beard.
