YeaYeah, I’m on board with that. The party brass hasn’t exactly been killing it lately…
But Schumer has the purse strings

How many times will they make this mistake that black voters only vote based on race? And then in 2022 Schumer apparently supported Beasley over Jackson because he thought that NC's black voters would prefer a dull as dishwater black candidate over a more dynamic white male candidate.
How interested is Roy likely to be in starting a six year term two years from now? He will be 69 in 2026.No, Jackson needs to get elected to a position that will bring him national attention sooner rather than later. If he has to step on Cooper’s toes to do it so be it. He has a far higher ceiling than Roy Cooper and he’s waited long enough. Roy needs to get out of the way of the young guy.
Good question. But I know from someone who is about as close to the Cooper family as you can get, that Roy had the first right of refusal for Kamala’s VP pick back in the summer, but did not want Mark Robinson near levers of power. So it does seem that he may have national ambitions. How interested is Roy likely to be in starting a six year term two years from now? He will be 69 in 2026.
Schumer needs to be shown the door. This is literally just racism for liberals. Oh, all the Black people will vote for Cheri Beasley because she’s Black right? If he’s still in the Senate leadership come 2026…God help us.Who gives a shit? They said the same thing about Obama. When you have it you have it.
Jackson should absolutely run for Tillis’s Senate seat in 2026, no matter what Chuck Schumer thinks. Schumer has repeatedly shown he cannot be trusted to make decisions on NC Senate candidates. He might still be majority leader if he didn’t push Jackson aside for Cheri Beasley.
I do not believe that you would and I know for certain at least one person who liked your post would not as he's said as much even though he likes Jackson in office in NC.Jeff Jackson is the best politician in politics today, regardless of party. I would vote for him for potus today. He is one who potentially has the ability to help reunite the country. He has the "IT" that this country sorely needs.
You said it better than me.Just catching up on this thread and absolutely laughing my fucking ass off at the Republicans on here acting like they would vote for Jeff Jackson in a senatorial or presidential election. Get the absolute and utter fuck out of here, y’all are absolutely awful at lying. You’ve read Jeff Jackson’s policy positions, right? The moment he announces a national race, every damn one of y’all is going to be talking about how he is the next coming of Che Guevara. Godalmighty
Jackson is the unicorn that rises above that, for me at least. Won’t speak for callatoroy. You said it better than me.
You can also add Roy Cooper to the list of people whom they'll vote for in NC but never for national office.
You have previously said more than once that you wouldn't vote for Jackson for a national office.Jackson is the unicorn that rises above that, for me at least. Won’t speak for callatoroy.
Multiple times. “I won’t ever vote for a Democrat at the national level under any circumstance.”You have previously said more than once that you wouldn't vote for Jackson for a national office.
That seems to be my recollection as well.Multiple times. “I won’t ever vote for a Democrat at the national level under any circumstance.”
Jackson/Centerpiece 2028!!!
That’s definitely my stance as it relates to Democrats in general. But the more I hear from Jackson, the more he separates himself from the fray. I would absolutely prefer him be governor of NC than a US senator from NC though if given a choice. He can make a lot more of an impact as governor. You have previously said more than once that you wouldn't vote for Jackson for a national office.
Correct. See post above. I would much rather talented democrats I like stay in state where they can be more useful, vs just being a number for chuck schumer in DC.That seems to be my recollection as well.
If I'm incorrect, I apologize but don't think I am.
I actually seem to remember some kind of triangulation vote for Mark Robinson for LT Gov only because it would keep Cooper from considering running for Senate.
If Jackson ever does run for POTUS one day, I can guarantee you that Republicans everywhere will start calling him a Socialist/Marxist/Satanist radical pedophile bum who wants to sell America to China. They do it every four years, no matter who the Democratic candidate is. And they do it because it works.Multiple times. “I won’t ever vote for a Democrat at the national level under any circumstance.”
And HY2012 would be leading that charge on this board. You can mark that.If Jackson ever does run for POTUS one day, I can guarantee you that Republicans everywhere will start calling him a Socialist/Marxist/Satanist radical pedophile bum who wants to sell America to China. They do it every four years, no matter who the Democratic candidate is. And they do it because it works.

Love me Somme JJ. “And I’ll keep you posted”I do not believe that you would and I know for certain at least one person who liked your post would not as he's said as much even though he likes Jackson in office in NC.
Have you seen the photos of him in Afghanistan? He has beard! Did he convert? If Jackson ever does run for POTUS one day, I can guarantee you that Republicans everywhere will start calling him a Socialist/Marxist/Satanist radical pedophile bum who wants to sell America to China. They do it every four years, no matter who the Democratic candidate is. And they do it because it works.
