Kanye's girlfriend is naked at the Grammys

Remember the time the pubs were touting the Trump, Kanye and Musk alliance and the black guy was the only one that got kicked out of the group for crossing a line too far?

Here's to you Musk Nazi salute and about 1000 things that should have done Trump in.

Rather than taint another topic, let me say that, after reading a list of Grammy winners, I have never been more out of touch with contemporary music. I also can't think of a need to remedy that.
The Beatles won best rock performance and The Rolling Stones won best rock album lol.

I will say I don’t understand the love for Beyoncé at all. Her country album was just very bland all around IMO. Takes a special kind of corporate over-production to make “Jolene” sound soulless, but that’s how it ended up.

At what age did you just start to give up on staying in touch with most contemporary music? I don't mean all - I mean we all hear some new songs here and there.

But for me it was around age 35 and definitely by 40. I was just like "screw it, give me the 80s/90s channels"

You don't understand. It is Beyonce. And she wore a cowboy hat. So that makes her album completely, 100% country now.

Oh, I still listen to a lot of new music. Just none of it seems to get played on mainstream stations. I listen to a lot of outlaw and alternate country. I listen to a lot of electro swing. I listen to a fair amount of fusion music and stuff like that.

I pretty much only hear new music from my kids. I do not listen to the radio.

I only wish Drake was in the audience when Kendrick Lamar won record of the year for Not Like Us.
That was brutal. Bey and Taylor dancing, folks clapping along. The entire place seemingly hit the "A minooooooor." Oof.

As a black woman, the board might be a safe place for me to say this :ROFLMAO:, but I just don't care for Beyonce. I love Destiny's Child and I like her first two or three solo albums, but then something happened and she became "BEYONCE!" It's just too much.

Lastly, maybe it's all an act, but the vibes Kanye and his wife/girlfriend give off make me uncomfortable. I've read that her family has tried to get her away from him with no luck. It seems reminiscent of the R. Kelly situation.

At 49, I still seek out new music by new/newish artists. But I have a much harder time finding new artists that I like. However, there are some out there (just downloaded a new album by a new artist this past weekend that I really like, and downloaded a couple others that I previewed and sound like I may like). And I listen to new releases by artists I’ve been listening to for a while. FTR I don’t generally like contemporary “popular music,” nor have I for the past 30+ years.

I recently looked back and counted the albums released in 2024 that I downloaded, and it was by far the fewest new albums I’ve downloaded/purchased over the course of a year. (By new albums, I mean albums newly released within the year I downloaded them.) I think it came out to 14 altogether with only 2 of them by artists I had never heard before.

Kendrick Lamar is lame AF. His only claim to fame is his beef with Drake. Riding Drake's coattails for his entire career.
I am completely and totally out of the loop on all stuff like this. What started the beef?

Electro swing pleases my senses.
