Great example of the problem with hiring lunatic conspiracy theorists for important government jobs. Sounds like FBI told Kent to stay in his lane (which does not involve investigations).

When the crazy gets so deep you can't tell which folks you should distrust the least.

The notion that CPAC was a movement built on “principles” is funnier than that drag parody.
 
Dems really need to take advantage to

1. Make sure their base and youn g people are energized
2. Capture the middle and Indepdnents - the deciding factor in elections.

The Democrats messaging remains IMO incoherent and so yesterday on NO KINGS Day. We have severe Article 1 problems, but we don’t elect SCOTUS who could provide guard rails. Furthermore, the Democracy vs. Plutocracy messaging did not win/lose the 2024 election.

Get with the program!!! We’re far beyond No Kings.

1. Win on “It’s the Economy stupid."

2. The War on Iran - too costly!

3. Epstein Files - Pedo in the WH

4. High oil and Gas prices

5. Inflation

6. Slashed Funding for Science - prime the pump of innovation. Just ask China.

7. Higher Mortgage Rates

8. Affordability

9. Our Retirement accounts are being crushed.


Dems must frame the messaging for the middle and we Independents who sway elections.

The 2017/2025 tax bills hit the middle class families with a moderate mortgage by losing PERSONAL EXEMPTIONS and no gain on increasing the Standard Deduction - which tilted the scale from Individual Home Owners to Land Barons. My middle class faily taxes increase by 30%.

The 2017/2025 tax bills (that’s when people should have been protesting!) put trillions of $ in the pockets of Billionaires and Big Corporations…and out of OUR pockets. The largest redistribution of wealth ever and in the wrong direction.

Last year’s tax fiasco = Big Billionaire Bank robbery (BBB).

11. Corruption might be a good one since it ties it to financial pain, and conspiracy-minded indys and middle-close won't need much to connect dots on the most self-enriching presidency of all time. Qatari planes, the crypto crap, the Jared investments against the backdrop of the Whitehouse addition, his name on the dollar and Kennedy center, a liat of cabinet and ambassadors who big donors to his PAC, etc.

I hear you, but corruption just doesn't seem to hit on Trump and his administration. He was probably more corrupt his first term with all of those oil Nations buying lots of rooms in his hotel and making sure that ivana's trademarks weren't hit with sanctions from China. The counterparties at least had to believe he was going to make concessions and he almost certainly did.

That's the type of corruption that actually affected everyone's pocketbooks as opposed to the crypto stuff. But he got reelected anyway. Kind of the same thing with the billionaire tax cuts. He keeps giving massive tax cuts to his donors and the electorate doesn't seem to care as long as I get a small tax cut.

To me, it's the economy and the Iran war that are going to crush Republicans in the midterm. I think that's where the resources should be dedicated.
