Mark Robinson thread | Sues CNN for Naked Africa reporting

If I’m advising Robinson, I’d tell him he should pivot and focus mainly on fighting against the stigmatization of being into extremely kinky sex acts. He might win over some hearts and minds.
So you're saying that not only should Robinson come out of the Kink Kloset, but he should be loud and proud about it? That's bold strategy for North Carolina.

They should have juxtaposed Trump’s comments comparing Robinson to MLK to Robinson’s quotes about how “some folks need killing.”
That might just convince conservatives in NC to still vote for Robinson and Trump rather than dissuading anyone.

Yeah, I'm a bit non-plussed by the constant focus on abortion. Like, there are other issues. That said, Kamala's people know what they are doing better than I do, and a lot of the Robinson stuff might be a bit harder to tie specifically to Trump.

I know it was presented as hot off the presses, but I'm not convinced that ad was produced after this latest news broke. I mean it was the 100% correct strategy to try to tie Trump to Robinson before this latest news dump.

"Better than Andrew Tate" is not much of a high bar to clear, but he is certainly better in terms of the "toxic male" aspect. But he had Trump on his podcast a few weeks ago and credulously fawned all over whatever Trump said. He's got the same problem as Rogan in that he's willing to let anyone on earth say whatever they want and not only will he not challenge it, he'll basically say "hell yeah brother." I like the positive attitude but part of the problem with this male podcast culture is the idea that all opinions, no matter how uninformed or harmful, are equally valid. It very much contributes to the "vibes over facts" approach to politics that is pervasive today.
Oh I totally agree. I just thought it was unfair to single out Theo when he at least tries to have a variety of people on and glazes them all equally lol. He also recently had Bernie Sanders and Bassem Youssef.

This was my thought as well

“…

Accuracy

The ad features direct quotations from both candidates.

The Takeaway

Much of the strategy behind this ad relates to its context. On the surface, it ties Mr. Trump to some of Mr. Robinson’s more extreme comments about abortion, one of Ms. Harris’s strongest issues. But running the ad on Friday, as Mr. Robinson faced growing pressure to quit the race over reports that he had once defended slavery and called himself a “Black Nazi” and a “perv” on a pornographic forum, was a not-so-subtle move to saddle Mr. Trump with Mr. Robinson’s entire set of political baggage at once. …”
