So Jeff Bezos became a Koch brother. Didn't see that coming.
I watched "All the President's Men" on Turner Classic Movies just the other night. It's a sign of how far our media - and we - have fallen that the Washington Post has moved from a crusading newspaper that was unafraid to challenge even a US President if they had evidence he was committing criminal acts to what will now be just another echo of the right-wing news media that now dominates the country. And MSNBC has clearly moved in the same direction by firing pretty much every liberal commentator, most of whom are minorities. This is exactly what Orban did in Hungary - either intimidate and bully Hungary's news media into doing his bidding or just have his wealthy supporters buy them and turn them into little more than mouthpieces for his policies. So much for the once-mighty and respected Washington Post, which will now become little more than a mouthpiece for Trumpism - a newspaper that in Trump's first term warned that "democracy dies in darkness." Indeed, Jeff Bezos, indeed.

If Trump, of "Art of the Deal" fame and uber Negotiator, is afraid to take questions from HuffPost, Associated Press and MSNBC, then how strong would he be when confronting Vladimir Putin Xi Jinping or Kim Jong Un ?
