And for the umpteenth time, we see that it is all projection with these people, all the damn time. Accuse others of censorship while you're censoring and punishing news media outlets you don't like to the limits that you're able. If a Trumper accuses someone else of doing something, you can be damn sure they're already doing it themselves or planning to.

Geez. Axios' co-owner Jim Vandehei was recently honored with the NPC's Fourth Estate Award where he gave an impassioned acceptance speech about the importance of the truth and how being a reporter is hard work.

I suppose they made the calculation that Axios is a business that has to turn a profit and the naming of the gulf wasn't the proper hill upon which to die. Still disappointing to see though.

As the saying goes, Bari Weiss going on Fox News and saying that she used to suffer from TDS was not on my bingo card:

The replies to that tweet are appalling, and a perfect example of how we got into this mess. Many posters are defending what Elon and Trump said by arguing that our news media lies all the time and has to be "fixed", that some journalists are guilty of treason and should therefore be in prison, that Democrats imprison people for posting memes on social media (what the hell?), and one Trumper even said that "The world needs to respect Trump’s historic mandate, and the media needs to start displaying the facts about how everyone loves him. The media engaged in election interference, by covering fake news, and they need to be held accountable, like ABC and CBS have been." These people are crazy and deluded, plain and simple.

Or not. But if you fact check him, MAGA digs in deeper.

I think he's actually right about that, or at least close to it, as his numbers have dipped a bit over the last couple of weeks.

The problem is, even though his polling numbers are higher FOR HIM, they still represent the worst polling numbers for any president after their first month in office. The only one lower than him is...checks...notes Trump 2016.

For the record: 10 of his first 31 days in office were spent at one of his golf courses. In addition to trips to the Superbowl and Daytona where he had the Beast drive around the race track.

As usual, it's all projection with these people, all the time. If Trump or any other Republican accuses the "liberal news media" or Democrats of being or doing something, you can be damned sure they're already doing it or really are what they claim the Democrats or news media are. In this case, it's Trump and his cronies who are the threat to democracy, not MSNBC.
