And I was dumb enough to think that turd was going to save itAs it turns out, under Bezos not only is democracy dying in darkness, but the WaPo is dying with it. Great going, dude!

Because I, like hundreds of thousands others, canceled their subscriptions after he 86'd the endorsement of Harris. As it turns out, under Bezos not only is democracy dying in darkness, but the WaPo is dying with it. Great going, dude!
Same here as wellYeah, I canceled the day they said "We're not going to make an endorsement this year"
Based on nycfan's post [#1003 above], I would say yes.So will the new york times be able to hold on?
Earnings reports are scheduled in advance, but the timing here worked out quite nicely.New York Times Added 1.4 Million Digital Subscribers in 2025
The company reported total revenue of $802.3 million for the fourth quarter of 2025, up 10.4 percent from a year earlier.

Bezos has decided to go down on Trump, in the most groveling way. This is what you get.So sad. Within just the past 5 years, the Post was an outstanding publication. Talk about spiraling.
Bezos gave his MAGA wife the unique gift of destroying a national institution. So sad. Within just the past 5 years, the Post was an outstanding publication. Talk about spiraling.
WaPo CEO
I think he just quit.It would definitely seem as if the goal at this point is to destroy the WaPo rather than trying hard to save it. When you're the CEO of a once-great and prestigious newspaper and it's quite literally being gutted and a third of its staff let go in one day, you don't travel to the Super Bowl while it's happening unless you don't give a shit about the future of your paper. Lewis seems perfectly content to run the WaPo into the ground while he enjoys himself doing other things.

So Mission Accomplished then, I guess.I think he just quit.
