They have deported US Citizens.
Other than the two kids mention above, who the mother decided to take with her when she was being deported, I do not believe any adult, US citizens have been deported..
But they have also deported people here legally, with valid work visas.
Which is legal under certain conditions.
They also took away student visas from foreigners and then arrested them.
Which is also legal under certain conditions. I would say the Trump administration was a little heavy-handed in these cases, because they were deporting students for being essentially anti-Semitic/Hamas terrorist supporters, but I'm Not going to mourn the loss of those types of people.
To me, all of this seems like Jack-booted government thuggery.
I see it more as a difference of degrees of enforcement regarding people who are only here because we allow them to be.

For example, I'm ok with allowing anti-Semitic college students to remain here, despite the fact they are likely supporting, if not outright calling for, the elimination of Israel. I'm okay with it because we support free speech, even when that speech is horrible.....But I'm also okay with deporting them because we can and should, be selective with who we allow to be here.

I'm also ok with deportng criminals. The question of which crimes are worthy of deportation is, again, really just a difference of opinion which we often see between Dems and Republicans.
Two of our own have told personal stories on the “How will Trump affect you,” thread in the last 24 hours.

yeah man, forcing children aged 2, 4 and 7 years old to separate from their mothers is really solid, benevolent, morally grounded behavior.
Which is probably why she took her kids with her.

She broke the law and she knew there were risks. Ultimately, she is responsible for the situation she put her kids in.

When drug dealers get busted, we don't say "Well, we know your million dollar home and 5 cars was bought with drug money but, since you already have those things, we'll just let you keep them."

I understand the moral dilemma, but I don't think allowing illegal immigrants to leverage our emotions is a good policy.

that you continue to parrot the "they're antisemitic and terrorist supporting" tropes about anyone who disagrees with israel's genocidal, zionist agenda is so disgusting and dishonest.

the stupidity is mind-numbing. are the huge numbers of jewish folks who disagree with israel's actions and agenda antisemitic?

nah. this is disgusting and unconscionable, period.

if these were white european women they'd be allowed to stay here and raise their american children.

Are you OK with deporting Afghan translators who risked not only their own safety but also the lives of their families for us in the GWOT? Are you OK with deporting Afghan Christians here legally who face summary execution once they are returned to their home country?

I don't think it's good policy to reward criminals because of emotions. Once people figure out that, all they need to do is get here illegally, start having kids and they'll be allowed to stay, I think it only encourages more sneaking in.

Objection! Speculation.

Also baseless:

REALLY, you're comparing a person trying to better their life by leaving their country to go to the US for opportunities with a drug dealer.
DID Silence hack your account or are you equally deplorable?

Absolutely not, but her decision to take them, while perfectly understandable, isn't "the US deporting citizens".

Again, I absolutely support her decision.
You seemed to miss the point.

It wasn't a choice.

y'all sure are getting a lot of mileage out of the one token white guy.

meanwhile....

and once again with the ABSURD framing. those women aren't criminals any more than you are for things like your daily low level traffic violations. they're asylum seekers in search of a better life and they contribute really important things to this country.

Exactly.

It's because fox news has convinced them that being here undocumented is equivalent to murder, legally.

Given our proximity to Mexico, Central and south America, it shouldn't be surprising that most people being deported aren't white. People aren't scrambling to leave Canada.

They are criminals. The difference between Ds and Rs is just a difference in opinion on how/when those criminals should be addressed.

are you aware that there are as many undocumented people from Asia in the US as there are from South America? Proximity is kind of an overstated factor given the global cultural monolith that the US is.

being in the US without proper documentation is a civil offense, not a criminal one. "they" are no more criminals than a citizen who's gotten a speeding ticket.

I think if you include all of Latin America, especially Mexico, instead of just South America, it's not even close. Although a lot of the growth is coming from Asia.
