Minnesota assasination thread

yes, the killer started everything. you still haven't taken responsibility for misrepresenting the parts of my position that are relevant to this thread so that you could continue mounting your derailment of a police defense, nor have you addressed that police in vehicles were unable to apprehend a lone wolf shooter who they caught inside a house and stopped from getting to his car, and that has led to my initial frustrations.
Yes, because they got in a gun battle on foot with the guy. Let me guess, if you were the cop confronting a heavily armed gunman wearing body armor and shooting at you, you would have triple-backflipped through the air, fired one round out of your sidearm directly into the gunman's trigger finger, and then 1080d off of a kid's skateboard left in the driveway while singlehandedly apprehending the gunman and not only getting a confession out of him but convincing him to actually vote for the D next election. If only you were there.

The suspect was identified as Vance Boelter, 57, by law enforcement officials with knowledge of the investigation into the killing of a state representative and her husband and the attack on a state senator and his wife. He remains at large.

Officials said Brooklyn Park police arrived at Hortman's home around 3:35 a.m. and found a police SUV with emergency lights on. The suspect then exited Hortman's home and exchanged gunfire with officers before fleeing on foot.

There was an extensive list of possible targets among writings found in Boelter's vehicle. The list included more than 50 individuals including officials outside of Minnesota, and including abortion rights advocates and abortion facilities.

There were also fliers in his car referencing a "No Kings" rally. Following the shootings, officials canceled all "No Kings" protests that had been planned in the state for Saturday.

i, too, enjoy responding to things my interlocuter has not said because i'm scared of responding to actual points that would require me to fish a boot out of my throat.

A police source is reporting the suspect is Vance Luther Boelter. He wss appointed to the Governor’s Workforce Development Board in 2019 by Gov Walz. “No Kings” flyers found in the suspects car.
Your inferences are intentionally ham handed, so I’ll offer the same. Vance Boelter is CEO of a security firm that operates out of the Congo. I got that from LinkedIn. You got your not so vague suppositions from the Blaze.

Vance Boelter, the man identified as the suspect in the attacks on two lawmakers, is listed as the director of security patrols on the website of a Minnesota-based private security group. “We drive the same make and model of vehicles that many police departments use in the U.S.,” the website says. The police have said the suspect was impersonating a police officer and had what appeared to be a police vehicle.

You are the one here trying to turn a political assassination thread into an ACAB thread. No one here is falling for it.

a) what is accomplished by railroading a message board thread so strictly? we're not going to help find the guy. human conversation follows branching paths, that's just part of existing - especially on the internet.

b) i voiced my frustration with the disparity between this guy escaping and what is surely going to happen across the country to law-abiding citizens today. You're the one who responded, willfully misinterpreted me as a conspiracy theorist saying the cops were collaborating with him, and ignored the actual substance of my original post and those I've made after because you saw red at the very hint of somebody not liking cops as much as you. You put ACAB in my mouth and then blamed me for turning this into an ACAB thread, turned the conversation back to ACAB when I tried to put it back on topic, sat out the portion of the thread where super and I talked like adults with a disagreement, and are now back projecting your cop fantasies on to me.

That's because there was little to substance there. It was simply a mindless rant against the police for no apparent reason. If you came back and actually tried to make a point and I missed it I apologize, as I have been in and out all day. I haven't seen anything credible, though, and you just recently doubled down into blaming the cops again for someone that literally killed people before they even arrived on scene.

and yet they engaged him in a shootout before letting him get away and making excuses for how he's going to be hard to find, because they're absolutely useless when their job involves contributing to the common good
but i bet police are going to go absolutely nuts on protestors this evening!!

god, we are beyond cooked if two sentences qualifies as a "rant" now.
I have not once blamed cops for the deaths on the killer's hands. i voiced my frustration with their inability to apprehend the killer in an apparently advantageous situation, and furthermore with their history of being mobilized against people exercising first-amendment rights.

anyways, the killer was a Christian Nationalist, judging by a list of Facebook follows that surfaced before either he or his wife deleted his account.

Right, you commented on a situation that you knew nothing about. How many cops responded to the second home and confronted the gunman? One? Two? Three hundred? How many shots were fired? Did they choose to attempt to tend to the victims instead of pursuing the gunman? If you don't know the answer to those questions, you can't fairly criticize the response. It is like me saying, from the Kenan bleachers, "if the quarterback just threw a touchdown on every single play we'd be undefeated. Why doesn't he do that????"
