I'm not buying (b). There's not that much lateral shockwave from a small caliber bullet and human skin is a lot tougher than you imagine.The worse that I recall on this board from the assassination attempt on Donald Trump's life in Pennsylvania during the campaign was: (1) it was a tragedy that people behind Trump were killed and wounded and (2) the damage to Trump's ear healed remarkable fast. To this day, I am not sure if Trump's ear was (a) clipped or (b) damaged by the shock wave from a near miss. Both could have caused the observed/described damage and neither are something I would wish on anyone.
