The worse that I recall on this board from the assassination attempt on Donald Trump's life in Pennsylvania during the campaign was: (1) it was a tragedy that people behind Trump were killed and wounded and (2) the damage to Trump's ear healed remarkable fast. To this day, I am not sure if Trump's ear was (a) clipped or (b) damaged by the shock wave from a near miss. Both could have caused the observed/described damage and neither are something I would wish on anyone.
I'm not buying (b). There's not that much lateral shockwave from a small caliber bullet and human skin is a lot tougher than you imagine.

Agree. Something hit his ear. If it was the bullet, it only grazed him by micrometers. Could have also been shrapnel from the teleprompter or something. But it couldn’t have been a shockwave. And he was definitely bleeding.

Just found out that my mom has worked with John Hoffman a fair amount and that they are friends. She is pretty gutted by all of this, but glad that he is alive.

Btw, I don't want Trump to die. I do not want any hints of martyrdom surrounding him.

I do want him to be exposed as the senile megalomaniac that he is and would love to see him involuntarily committed and everyone in his family and administration convicted on criminal racketeering charges. But, that's all merely justice and not some twisted vengeance.

Such a piece of shit.
And yet MAGAS - including people on this very board - can't seem to understand why so many Americans hate and loathe him so. They just dismiss people getting angry over him saying horrible things like this as "TDS". No, it's that these people still have at least some sense of decency and humanity and compassion left and see him for the POS and hateful turd of a person that he truly is. And the truth is most of his supporters at least privately love it when he says or tweets this shit, they just lap it up.

From a quick spin through some SEC message boards this morning, the right wing appears to be 100% convinced this guy was a leftist. Just shows how deeply that part of our populace has embraced right wing propaganda.
There is a guy in Raleigh that I’m friends with on FB (at this point I stay to see what he will say, he is connected to politics, and on any issue he is always spouting off the Republican story) and he’s going with this is Walz’s guy. And everyone that posts on his page accepts this with no question.

Well he is from Raleigh.

I wonder how many Dems stopped clapping long enough to call Trump after his assassination attempt.

The two couples sitting behind me at lunch were spewing the Walz conspiracy theory and discussing how “Representative” [sic] Padilla forced his way into Noem’s press conference and “charged” the podium. I had to move before I heard the rest. I so wanted to turn around to set them straight, but knew that would be a waste of my breath. I chose to salvage my sanity instead. They walk among us.

In these situations I always wonder if such comments are disingenuousness on behalf of partisanship or if the person is legitimately that dense.

Against my better judgment, I attended a Father’s Day dinner with my wife today. Five minutes in, my brother in laws father asks “what’s with this no kings day bullshit? There are some dumb people out there” I looked at him and said, you got that right. And walked away.
