3 run bomb. Then a solo job back to back.
Dodgers up early 5-0.
Damn it.
And I say that as someone who also dislikes the Reds

Welp, Dodgers open up a 5-0 lead

I wasn’t likely to make it to the end of this game anyway, but that kind of seals it.

Three great games earlier (and who knows, maybe the Reds have an epic comeback in them, but probably not)

Down 2 they couldn’t afford to risk it. That was a big run the Sox got top 9.
I get it — they needed two to tie but OTOH they didn’t put pressure on the fielders on that third hit.

Fuck the Yankees. Go Sox.
To Hell with the Dodgers.
I’m a Detroit fan now.
Cubbies second.
Seattle third.
Brew Crew after that.
Then Padres.
Sox/Cleveland after that.
Blue Jays
Then Reds.

Fuck the Yankees and the Dodgers

The Dodgers clinched but the other three Wild Card series come down to single game elimination today.

Go Guardians.

This Cleveland/Detroit drama going back a month has been WILD. It’s hard to know who the underdog is in the story at this point.

But either way, it all comes down to one single head-to-head game, as it should.

Announcers in the Padres game gave this fun fact: among the four Padres pitchers yesterday, the average fastball was 100 mph.

What in the world is going on with velocity these days?? Can it really all be just improved strength and training techniques? Is it new speed guns that are fudging, or the old guns were less accurate?

Max velo is what teams look for. Sure you’re arm will be shot in 2-3 years but they’ll just bring in another one.
