Only for the teams that get this far. For most teams the season ended yesterday.
I know. But even success is short lived.

Yes, in college hoops, a team can have a great season and get bounced early in the tournament. But basketball games aren't nearly as random as baseball games, and there have been 30-odd games up until that point, not 162.

That was an insane run that got them there. Congrats.

All the Royals had to do was hit the ball a little in the the first half and they would be in. They wound up scoring the fifth fewest runs in the entire league and that's after being 6th overall with 4.97 scored a game after the all star break. Was right at or below 3.00 runs scored a game before that (historically bad). Don't think that can really be that big of a slump or hot streak. It has to be a different approach from the coaches on the team hitting aspect of things. So that means that they wasted half a season before trying to change things up. Yeah, they dumped some of the dead weight from the lineup (outfield) but it's not like they replaced them with world beaters (league to slightly below average).

And the Royals pitching gave up the 4th fewest runs in the league so that was just wasted.

Anyway, Go AL Central!!!!!

Three teams that have never won a WS and some other long suffering fan bases. I'd be fine with any of SD, Cleveland, Seattle, Milwaukee winning. Wouldn't hate the Cubs, Reds, Tigers, Boston or Toronto. Hell no to LA, Philly, or the Yankees

I’d definitely group Boston with those last three, and maybe the Cubs… but otherwise yes.

Good friend is a long time Mariners fan and is going out there for the first playoff game. Guess I’ll pull for them as he’s a good guy and since I am a NC lifer it’s always been Atlanta or Baltimore that I kinda followed.

The Cubs do have Tar Heel Michael Busch to root for. They've also always been a fall back team for me thanks to WGN and the fact that our local minor league team in the 80s was the Cubs High A affiliate at the time and I got to see a lot of those guys make it to the show

We accept you as an honorary Mariner for the postseason.

Big Time baseball fan right now. Tigers in a very exciting 2-1 win earlier today. Cubs go back to back home runs and win 3-1 at home. Yankees and Red Sox on TV right now bottom of the ninth 3-1 Sox. Locked in and very excited. Go Sox. The hated Dodgers coming up next.

Chapman made it interesting but got the job done

Some weird managing from Boone. Pulling Fried with the bases empty and bringing in Jazz to play 2nd down a run in the 8th forcing him to face Chapman in the 9th.
