I'm not a huge baseball fan but I'm competent enough to keep up with what's going on and I generally pay attention to the ALCS/NLCS and of course the Series. Certainly enjoyed and appreciated Ohtani's monster game the other night (to say nothing of his career) and am aware that the Dodgers are big faves this year. That said, when I got home from work last night, I zonked out and didn't watch the game. Reading in here prompted me to check out the 6th inning from last night, what a treat. As a Deadhead, I also appreciated that as they were going to the commercial break at the end of the inning, they played a clip from the Dead tune Shakedown Street, a popular lyric therein being "Well, well, well, you can never tell"...

Someone on the production team at Fox is a huge dead head lol. They play GD songs all the time as they’re heading to a commercial break for MLB games, and sometimes they do it for NFL games too I think.

After a 4th intentional walk, Ohtani becomes the first player to reach base 8 times in a postseason game. No one else has surpassed six.

This game is one for the night owls, but close to becoming one for the early birds.

Bumper music going into the last commercial break was Annie - “Tomorrow.”
