I can't believe that I nodded off during a commercial right before the start of the bottom of the 18th and woke up to see the Dodgers celebrating right as Freeman crossed home plate. Worse than missing the end of a great movie because you had put close to 6+ hours into it and then you wake up seeing the credits.Dodgers win on solo HR to lead off bottom of the 18th.
Game 4 is scheduled to start in about 45 minutes.
Should have walked him in the 7th, tooOhtani with 2 HRs, 2 doubles and 3 intentional walks. He may have swung the bat for the last time this series.
Hopefully he wore himself out running the bases all night and all morningThat sucked.
The front half of the game was incredible, and the back half was the Jays bats going completely silent against a mediocre pen… so essentially just waiting for LA’s big three to win it one way or another.
But waving Schneider home with Guerrero on deck in the 10th was THE critical mistake. Absolutely no excuse for that.
Now tonight becomes a must-win and Ohtani has been throwing darts.
Kinda eerie:
I was surprised they didn’t.Should have walked him in the 7th, too
There were 2 outs. They probably walk Vlad.Hopefully he wore himself out running the bases all night and all morning
Will never happen but I get where you’re coming from.Postseason baseball is such a treat. Stayed up for every minute.
I have to say, I’m coming around to the school of thought that intentionally walking players, maybe just in the postseason, should come with a harsher outcome than just first base. No other sport deprives you of seeing the best and the biggest stars in such a manner.
I don’t know the solution but off of the top of my head, perhaps Ohtani gets second instead of first.
I was responding to the comment about Ohtani pitching tonight. Hopefully he wore himself out by being on base 9 times. There were 2 outs. They probably walk Vlad.
Bonds actually drew an intentional walk that walked in a run in one game. Will never happen but I get where you’re coming from.
Bonds was IW’ed 120 times one season.

My bad. Quoted the wrong post!I was responding to the comment about Ohtani pitching tonight. Hopefully he wore himself out by being on base 9 times.
He is an amazing player . . !I hope everyone is able to appreciate one Shohei Ohtani…the best there ever was.
And this old man is okay with that . . .Shaping up to be an earlier evening tonight.
