JFC that was simple assault on Mookie Betts. Those guys should be more than ejected, they should be charged with a misdemeanor at least …
 
The best part is that they (or someone) paid several thousand dollars each, for them to sit on the rail along the foul line… only for them to get booted after just over a half inning and down 0-2.
 
I left my complimentary Jerry Garcia bobblehead doll at a hat kiosk in Yankee Stadium last year. Wish I had never stopped there...
 
That was a very tricky baserunning situation for Volpe. It probably cost them a run since Wells would’ve scored on the ground out. But it’s hard to blame Volpe for creeping back to 2nd and looking to tag up if it was caught.
 
The announcers : You don't think he (Volpe) isn't thinking of clearing the bases . . . . . . and BOOM, a grand slam.

Sorry. I’ve noticed this on the batting helmets all post season, but like the dumbass I am, I didn’t bother to research it.
And apologies to the thread if it’s already been discussed (not reading previous posts, again apologies).
I’m sorry, I get it. Just follow the money.
But really… why not Spaulding, or Rawlings, or Wilson, or Mizuno or something remotely related to baseball equipment suppliers for the past 100 years? Strauss? Really? Sieg Heil!

That’s what my belated research showed me.
Hell, might as well be Levi’s.
On a tangent, I did coach baseball in Zürich back in the late ‘80’s and we played club teams from Germany and Austria on occasion. So I realize at least a few Germans actually know what a baseball is. I would say a whopping 0.1% of all Germans know what a baseball is. American football is a bit bigger there…. Just a bit.

Did they really awaken, or did they just take BP on a bunch of AAA call-up pitchers? Will be interesting to see what happens tonight against a starter again.

Yeah, the reaction on social media was pretty universally that they should be banned for life from baseball. I don't think anyone wouldn't support that. They factually assaulted a player during a game.
 
It's probably a good thing they were banned.
It sure went beyond fan interference for sure.
