I turned it on after watching the Hornets game. The end of that game was great. Now let’s have six more like it.
 
How bad is Shohei Ohtani hurt on that slide into 2nd base is the biggest question right now in this WS . . ?

Watching it last night, I thought it was going to be his wrist that was hurt. Just an odd slide from a guy that steals 50+ bases a season. Almost looked like he tried to plant his arm for a little extra push to try and get there quicker. But I have no idea if that's even a thing that works when stealing a base and it might have just been an awkward slide.

If it’s shoulder separation then he won’t be back for this series. That’s when your clavicle separates from your shoulder blade, and in the best cases it’s longer than a week to heal.

My understanding is that it was a dislocation (not a separation), meaning the arm popped out of socket. Dislocations are tricky. Some people are more susceptible to them and bounce back better. It’s almost better to have had them occur before, because there’s elasticity there. If it’s a first time or a bad one then there could be surgery required.

I’ve had one separation and more than one dislocation of varying degrees from basketball. Seems to me he could be in decent shape by Monday or Tuesday, or could be out for the series. I’m sure they’ll get him imaged and evaluated and we’ll know more later today.
 
In the meantime, I was in a packed bar full of yankees fans (in NYC) for the Freeman HR. As much as I’d have thought it would’ve pained me to see the dodgers win in that way (who I detest equally with the yankees), the hush that fell over the bar, followed by the long faces and sad eyes and shaking heads and general gloom was so enjoyable I soaked it up like a sponge 😬

There was one single table of dodgers fans who went nuts amid the silence for like 30 seconds and then paid their tab and fled haha.
 
Ohtani played but I think he was 0-3 with a walk.

Regardless, Yankees really shitting the bed.

I went to maybe five Dodgers games over the years that I lived in LA so I root for them even though I'm a Kansas City fan. That said, I wanted it to go seven. It's like all of the juice was spent on the first game because it was amazing and the Yankees just never recovered.
