9 times out 10, appeals to common sense are the last resort when there is nothing else. Occasionally not, but usually "common sense" is what people say to when it's clear their interlocutor is correct and they have no response.
Is it 9 out of 10? Are you sure it’s not 6 out of 10? Can you provide a link? Otherwise you are just making shit up.

I thought he was remarking on the efficacy of the disinfectant in killing covid and was asking if there was a way to cleanse the body in a similar way internally (like the uv light).
Well he certainly wasn’t suggesting to actually inject bleach but that doesn’t provide the narrative this board needs to fuel their TDS. Doesn’t give them the high that “rapists and murderers” do but what can one expect when their info comes from buzzFeed.

Actually the bleach part came out of Trump's mouth.

"And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful."

If yall could just take a step back from your party fever you would realize just how insanely similar both parties are. Same ole bs from both sides while your candidates rob us blind.

Not remotely the same as saying trump is saying we should inject bleach. He is using it as an example hence the “something like that” and then the reference to the light. But again when the quality of your news media is that of buzzFeed what do you expect. Apparently the complete loss of all rational thought is a byproduct of TDS.

Straight out of his mouth, dumbass, word for word. Your reading and reasoning skills are in a race to the bottom although reasoning has a big head start.

Fwiw, I don't even know what Buzzfeed is and have maybe read one Huffington Post article in my life. I like my news like my whiskey, straight with no chaser.

Guys, we need to be more nuanced in what we say. You know, like Callatoroy.

Such dishonesty.

Does anyone else feel like they are living in a different country now that Trump has won? This just doesn’t feel like the USA anymore. I feel like a stranger in a new world.
66% of eligible voters cast a ballot this year. That means exactly 34% (roughly 1/3) of the voting public didn't bother to vote.
Of those who did vote, Trump won roughly 34% of the 66% - Harris won roughly 32% - give or take (final numbers aren't in yet, but I've simplified to make the math easier).

So at the end of the day, 2/3 of the voters in the U.S. DID NOT VOTE FOR TRUMP. Of course you can also say a little more than 2/3rds didn't vote for Harris either... but the numbers don't lie.

Trump won by a little bit in a free and fair, closely monitored election. And there will be a peaceful transfer of power, and Harris has already conceded.

Unlike 4 years ago... which was also a free and fair, closely monitored election (that included numerous re-counts and debunked lawsuits claiming other wise). One can easily say the 2020 election was even more closely monitored than this one, with votes meticulously hand counted, etc... in several instances.

The facts and numbers don't lie. Trump and maga won, and they are in power for the next 4 years. Will they turn the U.S. into the Handmaid's tale? Will we withdraw from NATO? Will Musk be allowed to tank the economy? Will Putin stop with Ukraine or is Eastern Europe in deep doo doo now?

Whatever happens, Trump and maga do not have the voice of 2/3rds of the American people behind them - not from the ballot boxes anyway...

Such dishonesty.

Yeah, it is obvious that when he said “injection,” it was in reference to “disinfectant.”
But, because he qualified that idiotic comment with “or something like that,” the acolytes want us to believe he didn’t actually mean to inject anything and certainly not disinfectant, but was just asking in general if perhaps there is anything we can do.
So, the best reading through MAGA glasses is that he didn’t really say anything at all. He was just musing out loud that maybe there is “something” we could do. That kind of brilliance could only come from a man whose uncle was a professor at MIT.
Oh, by the way, we did have “something like that” that we could inject that would help with COVID, but the dumbass MAGAs wouldn’t take it.

Why does the MAGA crowd still seem so pissed off and whiny? They won and don't even act like it as they have a grievance addiction that doesn't take well to it now being their responsibility to fix shit. After a decade of tearing down people and half the country they just want vengeance rather than fixing what they complain about.
Weird crowd that hasn't changed.

I was talking with my son yesterday and told him that it wasn't as bad as 1968 and I lived through that. Hell, in 1966, the Klan burned a cross in our yard after my stepfather preached a sermon in favor of integration on a day designated as Race Relations Day by the Southern Baptist Convention. The next week the chairman of the deacons demanded his resignation.

Happened to him in 63 for the same reason and again at a later church when on Annie Armstrong Day (dedicated to home missions) he had the gall to invite some migrants to church.

Course, that was a different Baptist church. From the Baptist Press.

In 1970, a poll conducted by the Baptist Sunday School Board found that 70 percent of Southern Baptist pastors supported abortion to protect the mental or physical health of the mother, 64 percent supported abortion in cases of fetal deformity and 71 percent in cases of rape.

Three years later, a poll conducted by the Baptist Standard newsjournal found that 90 percent of Texas Baptists believed their state’s abortion laws were too restrictive.

Support for abortion rights was not limited to theological moderates and liberals. At New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in the early 1970s, some conservative students who went on to become state convention presidents and pastors of prominent churches supported abortion for reasons other than to save the life of the mother, Richard Land, former president of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, told BP.

“They pretty much bought into the idea that life begins when breath begins, and they just thought of [abortion] as a Catholic issue,” Land, who attended New Orleans Seminary between 1969-72, said of his fellow students.

A 1971 SBC resolution on abortion appeared to capture the consensus. It stated that “society has a responsibility to affirm through the laws of the state a high view of the sanctity of human life, including fetal life.”

But the resolution added, “We call upon Southern Baptists to work for legislation that will allow the possibility of abortion under such conditions as rape, incest, clear evidence of fetal deformity, and carefully ascertained evidence of the likelihood of damage to the emotional, mental, and physical health of the mother.”

It's like biblical interpretation, where the anointed know exactly which passages to interpret figuratively and which are simply metaphor. Each denomination has their own decoder too.

In earlier posts I have argued that the election had little if anything to do with Kamala's or the Democratic Party campaign strategies other than pursuing a Quixotic quest to appeal to our better angels and their failure to recognize our country for what it is.

Mystal gets it...
