Maybe it was the dishonest way the hearings were held. In any case, your party is seen as out of touch, which it obviously is. Abrego Garcia is what defines your party this month. 2. How the hearings were conducted has no bearing whatsoever on what we all saw with our own goddamn eyes on Jan 6 and after. It’s just incredible people like you won’t just admit it was a shameful attempt by Trump supporters to prevent the peaceful transfer of power as required by the constitution, and that it was later whitewashed by Trump himself and his entire political base. We all saw it, regardless of what you try to say about it now.

You don’t know what you saw and your narrative is completely framed by your media that has frequently, and (PROVEN) intentionally lied to you and you continue to slurp it up without a hint of hesitation. Unlike you I’m more interested in the truth of what actually went on behind the scenes and who was involved. I also know someone who was there but didn’t enter the building. He tells a completely different story than what madcow and Scarborough have told you. Unfortunately, it was one of the most corrupt political figures in the history of this country leading the hearings with a stacked deck. So the real truth may never be known. I base my opinion on what I have been told by my friend, what I have read, seen on TV, and other eyewitness accounts. I am open to the worst or anything short of that which is where the real truth likely lies.
But thanks for admitting you only care about what suits your agenda. You certainly live up to the reputation your profession has carved out.

Don’t trust what you saw with your own two eyes. Trust what I claim I was told was happening “behind the scenes.”

Let’s don’t conflate the two, as being a juxtaposition or antipodal…but instead join the two. The No Kings events across the Nation can be viewed as a celebration of Flag Day…the flag as we know it came into being to rally around a “No Kings Day” 250 years ago.
Same with the U.S. Military… it came into being to oppose “Kings” or the very idea of a King running rough shod over a newly formed Nation.
The flag itself was a thumbing of the nose to the King of England. The military was formed to literally fight against that same king.
All of the above were celebrated on Saturday: The Flag, the Military and the simple fact that as Americans we are against the authoritarian rule of a “King” over the U.S. of A.
Sure, let’s conflate what happened on Saturday, but not as a juxtaposition of one versus the other. No, on the contrary. The day was a giant demonstration of one Nation, under one flag, honoring a Military who fought - and should continue to fight - against anyone who would be King.
Every No Kings rally was marked with literally 100’s of thousands upon thousands of U.S. flags, and no one, NO one, was demonstrating AGAINST that flag, nor AGAINST the U.S. Military. The demonstrations were AGAINST a would be king.

Coworker tried to talk me out to No Kings. I said no.
Not because I disagree but because I was so dispirited by the nation, despite knowing this asshole would get elected again.
When he was elected in 2016, I told everyone this will end with tanks. Because it's so obvious the parasite he is. I knew he would lose in 2020, as he did. I spent those months unto the Biden inauguration, accumulating ammo and water/food. I even bought a tactical shovel that would double as an axe. I thought we would be fighting on the streets. Fortunately, we avoided that. But came goddamn close.
I was married at that time. Thought I might still have a family one day. But now that that's never going to be the case, I sit things out and watch.
I will say, however, I still have my guns. My ammo. And my tactical shovel.
