Missouri also overwhelmingly voted to raise the minimum wage to $13.75 in 2025 and $15/hour in 2026.
I'm getting sick of voters in these red states approving progressive stuff like this while at the same time electing politicians who will work to ensure that it never takes effect or is watered down in some way. It's like people who do a Weight Watchers diet and then sneak candy and soft drinks at night and still expect to lose weight.

With over 99% reporting, the Supreme Court seat is insane — recount will be automatic but doubt that’s decided for a while.

That NC Supreme Court seat worries me. In 2020 the Democratic Chief Justice was slightly ahead, but in some rural red counties in eastern NC they claimed to have "found" some extra votes that gave the Republican the lead, and he won in a recount. I wouldn't put such shenanigans past the NC GOP this time. And I hope that Stein's veto power doesn't rest on a single Democratic legislator, as the NC GOP convinced Tricia Cotham to switch parties and deprived Cooper of veto power. Rumor had it that she was sleeping with Tim Moore. I doubt Moore can romance another Democratic legislator to switch sides, but I certainly wouldn't put it past NC Republicans to offer money or some other sweet deal to a Democrat who was willing to do so. They have no shame.

ETA: Cotham won reelection, which just goes to show that there's no justice in this world, at least in the Age of Trump.

Looks like US House races in NC are all resolved.

Dems will hold 4 of 14 seats - NC01 (Don Davis), NC 02 (Ross), NC04 (Foushee), NC12 (Adams)

Republicans take the rest. Only NC01 was close (less than 2 points). Every other seat decided by double digits.

Just as the GOP state legislature gerrymandered it.

Citizens only voting amendment passes with 77% support in NC.
