They have a conscience now ?I hope that never happens. I don't want those fucking people to be conscience-free.
What if there is no salvation to get into heaven because heaven does not exist ? And what if there is no benevolent God to spare us from evil, suffering, and misery on earth ? What if addressing evil, and suffering is left to the people on this planet for us to end ?I was raised attending a Christian (Methodist) Church. I am still a member and attend a Methodist Church. But if turns out that salvation is universal and I go to Heaven after I die, then I am going to have some real hard questions about why there was so much evil, suffering, and misery on Earth. And a response of, "Oh, that's just the 'human condition'" is not going to cut it. However, the reponse of "When did you so much as lift your little finger to alleviate any of that 'evil, suffering, and misery' might get some traction with me.
I'm a little upset that somewhere in my 3 years of seminary I didn't come up with this pun myself.
I had no idea you were nearly a Man of the Cloth........I'm a little upset that somewhere in my 3 years of seminary I didn't come up with this pun myself.
Not nearly, I am an ordained minister (not the internet kind, for real).I know idea you were nearly a Man of the Cloth........
If I ever get married again (highly doubtful), I want Reverend Snoop to officiate and I want to call him and refer to him as Reverend Snoop. Not nearly, I am an ordained minister (not the internet kind, for real).
But my career never took me (by choice) into full-time church ministry and now I am very, very ambivalent about the church altogether.
I wonder if I can get a package deal from Snoop... get the 3rd or 4th one free...If I ever get married again (highly doubtful), I want Reverend Snoop to officiate and I want to call him and refer to him as Reverend Snoop.
How did I miss that you have been to seminary? I did 3 years of divinity schoolI'm a little upset that somewhere in my 3 years of seminary I didn't come up with this pun myself.
That sounds fun. Can I have an "Official Reverend Snoop" name tag?If I ever get married again (highly doubtful), I want Reverend Snoop to officiate and I want to call him and refer to him as Reverend Snoop.
I'll make you a deal, if you find the, um...confidence, to head down to the altar one more time, I'll perform the ceremony at no cost beyond expenses.I wonder if I can get a package deal from Snoop... get the 3rd or 4th one free...
+1 to all of this. I did wind up serving 9 years part time on a church staff before landing in the non-profit world. Not nearly, I am an ordained minister (not the internet kind, for real).
