Rapture is scheduled for tomorrow

I had a friend with benefits in college who raptured me quite often, and it was glorious.
Now I did not experience that rapture quite often, but I did experience the rapture with three different coeds on 3 different occasions .
55 years later I still remember the names of those 3 wonderful girls ( they were 18yo ) and our night together.

Is that so wrong ?

What if there is no salvation to get into heaven because heaven does not exist ? And what if there is no benevolent God to spare us from evil, suffering, and misery on earth ? What if addressing evil, and suffering is left to the people on this planet for us to end ?

I would be interested in your thoughts.

For me I take comfort in believing there is not a God because if there was a God that God would be a sadist or incompetent .

I hold out hope religion dies and we realize it is up to us to make this a better world in which to
to live...but that's just me
I think some people need to believe in something larger than themselves to get through the day to day of life. In a vacuum, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. For some, the need for belief in a higher power varies throughout one's life, again nothing wrong with that.

I am also an atheist and do not (currently) have that need of belief.

IMO the only real problem is when religion seeks to indoctrinate the remainder of society with forced belief. There are plenty of believers who have no real interest in pushing belief onto others. So, my view is that is a reflection of individuals/religion not of belief in a higher power. In short, separate belief from religion. Oppose Religion not belief.

If there's no Heaven, then I don't think my behavior would change much. No way does my life/behavior "earn" me anything. So if there is life after death, then I'm hoping for universal salvation, because my slackard life isn't going to "earn" me anything. As for religion disappearing and everyone doing their own thing, no thank you. Your faith in some "Kumbaya" moment emerging with the disappearance of religion is not shared by me.

I was raised attending a Christian (Methodist) Church. I am still a member and attend a Methodist Church. But if turns out that salvation is universal and I go to Heaven after I die, then I am going to have some real hard questions about why there was so much evil, suffering, and misery on Earth. And a response of, "Oh, that's just the 'human condition'" is not going to cut it. However, the reponse of "When did you so much as lift your little finger to alleviate any of that 'evil, suffering, and misery' might get some traction with me.
Our Presbyterian friends should already have these questions nagging them nightly:
