Then, if he has a fucking clue who Bessent is, we have to assume that he cares about Bessent's sexuality, which would be the first time Trump has ever given a fuck about that in his life. Then we have to assume that, even if he cares, he would take a public stance on it, and we'd also have to assume Bessent was last in his ear since Trump is very receptive to bullshit ideas, shall we say. And then we have to assume that state legislatures would decline to press the issue just because Trump doesn't full-throatedly endorse, when those same legislators were willing to break with Trump publicly during the campaign and complain he wasn't pro-life enough. And we have to assume **all** the states will follow that path, because it only takes one.
