Russia - Ukraine “peace negotiations”

Here’s how Donald Trump can end this war:

President Trump: “Vladimir, end this war now. Withdrawal all of your forces back to Russia from Ukraine. Stop slaughtering civilians.”

Vladimir Putin: “No.”

President Trump: “ Okay, Vladimir, I will ask the United States Congress to pour weaponry and supplies into Ukraine at a rate at which you’ve never seen, believe me, it will be the most beautiful rate anyone has ever seen. We will give Ukraine a blank check and whatever resources necessary to expel your invading forces. We will also slap you with the bigliest economic sanctions the world has ever seen, believe me, nobody has ever seen economic sanctions this bigly. We will completely decimate your military and your economy for a mere pennies on the dollar. Let us know your decision within 24 hours, and enjoy your flight home your third rate, Third World shit hole country.”

Instead, we are rolling out literal red carpet and literally taking Putin for a joyride in the presidential limo. Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev are both looking at each other in hell right now like, WTF mate!??

Quit being so hysterical. This is a peace process with a KGB killer where Trump's trying to bring peace to war which started under his predecessor. This meeting is merely the first step. Trump doesn't have to do any of this. He could simply sit back and have the Europeans continue to buy weapons from US companies (at a substantial profit) to sell/loan/give to the Ukrainians. US would profit by this war continuing. That's what you accused Cheney of doing. Now, when a Republican President is trying to get the process for peace started you lose your minds.

What's the alternative, have World War I trench fighting continue indefinitely?

I’m absolutely cackling that ramrouser thinks that United States military aircraft flying over a United States military base is some sort of bigger “gotcha, libs!” than his very own president squealing and clapping and prancing on literal red carpet waiting for the arrival of a third World murdering tyrant who would rather see the United States destroyed than eat. I’m honestly not even sure how to respond to someone whose brain is that jellied.

The GOP has gone from the party of “Mr.Gorbachev tear down this wall” to “Mr. Putin pull down your pants” in 30 years precisely because people like ramrouser lost their damn pride and grew a humiliation fetish.

What's the alternative you ask? Well, how about Trump doing what he said he was going to do on sanctions? What happened to that? That would have been the first step and alternative. This meeting is obviously designed to give Trump room to walk that back. Just watch and see. Then what are you going to say as an excuse?

Putiin has been talking over 10 minutes. Per interptetatiom he hasn't said a damn thing. How bad has he stemrolled Trump. Oh lordy, he just confirmed Trump's quote that there would be no war if Trump was President. Trump just offered half Ukraine when they have only taken 20% in 11 years.
