Hey maybe ramrouser can reassure us again about how tough Trump's "negotiators" will be on Russia while we continue to undercut our own allies to take Russia's side (and to take a position that has no reasonable basis, by the way).
3-D Chess.

Except Trump knocks all the pieces down like the 5 year old child he is.

Russia is on the back foot trying to bluff with a dud hand. Time for Europe to draw a line in the sand.
Agree, but have no faith they will. I've served with many of them and their default remains that the US will pay for and provide their security. Granted, I never served with any Poles and my understanding is they are solid.

I would imagine the Poles have a little more shit in their neck than say, the French.
One of the problems I see is that Europe is trending right, almost trumpian. Italy, for example. Germany now has Musk backing their hard-right candidate(s) in the upcoming elections... Certainly Hungary (duh)... The Netherlands narrowly escaped electing a hard line righty in their last election... France... England with the Brexit vote, leaving the EU... etc. etc.

Euro dudes better watch out because they're about to FAFO.

Also what's interesting is now the Axis of Evil that Bush talked about is made up of Russia, U.S. and China. The trifecta of world domination by oligarchs and authoritarians. With Elon the self-declared King of the Planet.

Thank you for your service. My next door neighbor is a bird Colonel in the army and he said the european troops are pretty much as you described but his exception was the turks. He said they are full on nuts and he would never want to have to fight against them.

When I was in the Army in Germany, I noticed German Army trucks were much higher off the ground than were American Army trucks. Once while on joint maneuvers, I asked German NCO why their trucks were so far off the ground. He said, "The next time we go to Russia, we aren't getting stuck in the mud."
