staggering

Kellogg has effectively confirmed that Russia has lost
nearly 1 million people in the war against Ukraine. In an interview, the Trump representative stated that total losses in the Russia-Ukraine war have already reached 1.2 million people, and this number exceeds
U.S. losses in World War II. According to Ukraine's General Staff, Russia has already lost approximately 982,840 killed and wounded. Kellogg's statement can be considered a direct confirmation of this figure at an official level from the United States. It's worth noting that U.S. losses in World War II are officially estimated at
418,000 people.
If you’re counting Russian dead AND wounded, the US WW2 totals are 407,316 dead and 671,278 wounded (no figure for Coast Guard wounded).

I'm guessing the number of Russian men between the ages of 20 and 30 would be in the 6 million range. But you'd be considered expendable if you're from outside the Moscow/ St. Petersburg areas.

He's been an interesting follow since this all began and it even appears he learned a lot of Ukrainian. He's the commander of the Chosen Company. His response in Ukrainian says that he and most of his subordinates are done with the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This comes a week or two after the commander of the 47th asked for his dismissal due to “imbecilic commands."

“Well, and you understand, no one wanted a permanent superior above them – every brigade commander wanted to have his own kingdom… So, probably, this wasn’t going to happen soon,” one staff officer told Kyiv Post a year and a half ago. FROM LINK

There will be some breaking eggs to get the new corp system implemented.

There's been some sort of Russian breakthrough of the Ukrainian layered defense between Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka. This is probably the most active sector of the front.

Usually when a breakthrough happens, Russia is unable to follow up because they are so bad at combined arms and logistics to exploit the break. And sometimes Ukraine counterattacks. So will have to keep an eye on to see if this turns out to be strategically significant.

Ukraine goes on the offensive

Russian propagandists claims Ukraine attacked passenger train inside Russia, Ukraine propagandists claim the only trains they targeted were for military resupply trains in occupied Ukraine. I sort of doubt Putin has any compunctions about using his citizen as human shields one way or another, but Ukraine has been willing to strike in Russia. TBD on details …

“… Ukrainian intelligence officials said the agency moved dozens of small quadcopter drones to Russian territory. It then moved wooden containers to Russia, which were used to hide the drones ahead of the attack. When it came time to strike, the containers were placed on trucks and the lids of the containers were opened remotely. The swarm of drones flew out to find their targets.

In a video posted to social media, a drone appeared to take off out of a container with a buzzing sound. Shots rang out in an apparent attempt to down it. Another drone flew out of the container in the same direction. In another video, an explosion strikes a plane parked at an airport.

“This is not yet a knockout, but quite a serious knockdown for the enemy,” said Iryna Vereshchuk, a top official in Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s office. “This is exactly what wars of the future will look like.”

The scope of the damage would take time to assess but it appeared to be a significant blow to Russia’s long-range aviation capacity, said Justin Bronk, a senior research fellow at the Royal United Services Institute in London.

“Ukrainian special services have struck by far the heaviest blow of the war against the Russian Long Range Aviation bomber fleet,” Bronk said.

Russian and Ukrainian delegations are set to meet on Monday in Istanbul for negotiations aimed at ending the war. Zelensky said Ukrainians are demanding a full cease-fire, the release of prisoners and the return of the children Russia abducted. Russia hasn’t sent its proposals ahead of the talks, Ukrainian officials said. …”
