So Trump now says that while Putin has been "very nice", he now feels like he is being fed bullshit by him...

And THIS is the greatest negotiatior of all time? Just now realizing that Putin is stringing him along/playing him?

The level of pure incompetence just boggles the mind. And wonder how Fox can possibly spin this in his favor as they are contractually obligated to do

NBC News spent at least 3x the time last night talking about Biden's doctor taking the Fifth and a paddleboarder in Maine who was murdered than they did about all the shit Trump spewed yesterday. It's not just Fox that's covering for Trump's gross and endless incompetence.

The problem is that Trump spewing isn't really news. Like, either you know he's a mendacious evil idiot or you'll never be persuaded of it. Either way it's boring. MSNBC will cover the idiocy plenty. So will the late night shows.

It’s not necessarily covering.

Trump saying crazy shit isn’t news. That happens every day. It is pretty rare for a paddle boarder to be murdered or for a president’s doctor to take the 5th in front of Congress.

I do disagree with that framework, though. The president of the United States saying crazy shit should ALWAYS be national news. Even if it happens every day, as has been happening for the last six months. We can't normalize it. If a news channel is not covering it, they're not doing their job.

News is a for profit business. There is a market for crazy shit Trump said today, but it is a limited one.

There is a difference between ignoring Trump due to viewer fatigue and explaining that whatever he does is "genius".

But yeah, the fact that Trump does what he does and it no longer is deemed "newsworthy" is quite the scary reality we now live in

I wonder, as we see his brain turning to mush a little more each day, if this is how it manifests for him. Like with my father, he can't remember if he went to the bank yesterday. Maybe Trump can't keep track any more of the layers and layers of bullshit he's spewed for political or egotistical reasons. If so, it's still going to suck as a country, but could be fun to watch.

I lost my grandma to dementia. Watching her slip away as a person was one of the hardest things I've ever seen. It's a fate that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

In addition to being a cheap way of disposing of munitions that were soon to expire, I had hoped the Ukraine War would jar the United States into realizing that cheap drones were a game changing technology. I should have realized that the whole "cheap" thing made drones a dead letter on day one as far as the US military-industrial complex was concerned.

Yeah what’s better when he was a Russian agent or was he just so blindly stupid he really thought he and Putin were friends . He figured he’d fuck over Ukraine a bit get a sweet deal for his buddy and maybe he gets a Nobel Peace prize. Is this real life damn.
